I think you're getting confused.

He has an NSWRL contract with Newtown. If Cronulla had an open spot for whatever reason on their roster then there would be nothing stopping them or any other club offering him a top 30 spot for the remainder of the year prior to June 30.

That's what I thought was the case.

Our loss and their gain. Will be sad to see him in anything other than a Dogs jersey. Still thought he had something to offer us and would have been a great mentor for the up and comers.Would have signed a second tier deal as evidenced in signing for Newtown but I guess by doing what he has done would be eligible to be picked up by an NRL club to fill a top 30 spot.

I went to more Newtown games than I did Dogs games last year. I do live close to Henson Park but still that’s bad..

Anyone have any idea who much one of these contracts is worth?

Surely it has to be less than $50k per year plus match payments?
