I love a BBQ, if I could be bothered I'd light up every day.

Nothing better than firebrand charcoal, lamb, kafta, chicken, salad and toum with a beer in hand.

I'm guessing MS3 or MS4.

Yeah, I'm a meatasaurus lol
Had a steak years ago in the city, was Japanese wagyu and cost close to $300 - best cut of meat I have ever had, brings a tear to my eye thinking about it.

So true, once in a life time cut of meat and worth it 100%.

Was the highest grade marbling, don't remember the number though.

Didn't have to chew at all, simply melted.

Yep

How is wagyu graded?

Wagyu beef is graded in a similar way in Australia and Japan. The Japanese beef grading system gives Wagyu beef a grade from 1 to 5, with 1 being the lowest and 5, the highest. Quality scores range from 1 to 12, BMS 12 is the highest. Australian grading is two grades lower than the Japanese grading system.

Woolies sell Wagu? Wow!
There is a big one up our way at Kotara that has an actual butcher section where you can get fresh meat not just typical pre packed shit that you usually see on the shelves.
Its an actual butcher in house and he has some great meat.
I do prefer to get my meat from local butchers
But that wagu for a beef roast at wollies is hard to beat

Did you see the brisket I'm cooking tomorrow
That will hopefully be way better
Good they labelled it. Sometimes in the vacuum packaging hard to work out if you have a flat or a point. Have some filthy pork spare ribs I was going to throw on the smoker tomorrow but apparently going to the Dogs game (bday present). Fckng idiot family should know that atm - dogs tickets are not a present.

Monday while I'm working - bacon time. Belly, dry cure vacuum sealed with maple sugar. The pastrami went well so I'm confident.

I usually do my own rubs but I have been getting into Lane's recently. These two are my favourites

I have used that magic dust, it's great.
I usually do my own rubs for beef.
The one I bought and pictured was an impulse buy.
Waste of money
It's ingredients is only salt, pepper, garlic salt, paprika and thyme
So yeah,
Nothing special Al all

There's a heap of BBQ rubs you can buy that are literally just salt, pepper and garlic powder. If you buy from the competition guys, that's literally all their rubs are. Complete waste of money.
