Hi, I was pretty active on here for a while back, sort of fell out of love with league because of how much the dogs winning and losing affected my personal life. Didn't really help I just switched my obsession to American sports.

Started watching the dogs again this year with my daughter, looks like I picked a good time to come back.

Dogs and Gunners fan here too.
@ASSASSIN, I worked for Barclays Bank on an 18 month contract in the 1980’s. The bank paid for a season ticket for any London Club you wanted to support. The boss was an Arsenal fan. I went with him. Best boss of my entire career. i would recommend working overseas for any young bloke on the way up in his career. You learn a lot about life.

The other good experience I had in that 18 months was going to the live aid concert at the old Wembley Stadium, and going to Old Trafford Cricket ground and watching the greatest ODI innings I have seen live. Viv Richards was 83 not out when the 9th wicket fell at 166. He and Michael Holding who scored a run a ball 16 not out took the score to 9 for 283, with Viv 183 out out. Took all the England bowlers to the cleaners. Botham was completely non plussed..

Would’ve loved to have seen that innings from Viv mate, what a weapon he was!

I don't like the UK or anything British but I'd love to watch a Gunner home game there live.

Part of my package at the Banks was a season ticket at any London club, so I went to Highbury every second Saturday. Prior to Cable TV all games were on Saturday. I had to work every second Saturday. I worked with a guy who followed Spurs who as you would know were 5 miles up the road. We made a deal that I would work on the Saturday when Spurs were at home, and he would work when Arsenal were at home. Worked out pretty good.

When we were last in the UK in 2019, my wife and I saw the Challenge Cup final at the New Wembley between Warrington and St.Helens. On the day before we went home we decided to do a tour of either Emirates or Wimbledon Tennis. She won the toss and we went to Wimbledon, it was about 2 months after the tournament had finished.

wish they came to aus instead of the USA during pre-season like they did few years ago
Saw Arsenal Beat Sydney FC at Accor in 2017. Bought an Arsenal Jacket, Sydney 2017 on the back.

That Viv Richards innings was the best ever. Holding scored 12 not out.
