Lol just sarcasm on what Pay said that time about sticking with those players :grinning:

Us Kennel experts reckon we can tell well before 40-50 games if they are any good or not lol

You don't need 40-50 games. That's nearly 2 full seasons but most likely 3.

All you need is about 3 games to decide if they are ready and capable to handle the speed and intensity of NRL. Im not talking 3 games against a full top 4 team, but against teams outside the top 4 or better still, teams from outside the 8.

In 10 games, you can tell if they will ever have it or not.
Most our players first 3 games are better than there next 20 lol.

It’s the same issue with @Flanagun
must be true - write off this season with Flanagan as an investment in offloading him for 23. frustrating to sit through but next year we may be cheering

I think the club should accept Flanagan and Allan aren't going to show anything or fire in the NRL. If anything it's making it harder to get rid of them... Allan literally looked like a prop yesterday. Flanagan got sacked more times then I could count.

Yeah, right. We’re going to pick a green kid whose nowhere near ready over a state of origin rep. It’s bad enough that we are picking duds like Schoupp and Avo over Corey.
A fat slow ex state of origin rep ok champ great advice, guess what kiraz was green as well but is a gun

Or the random kid selling dogs hats at the entrance to Belmore over Flanno. That kid has good hands, passes well and see's an opportunity. All things that Flanno doesn't have. He cannot kick for shit but no loss there. Promote him.

Dean pay's 40 or 50 games was a reference to when a player can be viewed as an established, hardened first grader. Tim Sheens says a 100 games.

Nothing to do with how many reserve grade games you play.

Typically most players benefit from a season or so in reserves.

Occasionally a player comes along who is too good for the grade and demands NRL selection after a few games. Think Scott hill.

We have no such players at present
