Some of these Cup kids need to get promoted. They held onto a 20-16 win over the Knights while having 2 players in the bin at St. Johns Park. Phillip Makatoa and Declan Casey. Apparently, Biondi-Odi made a try saver late in the game. They dont have pea-shaped hearts like our first grade lot. Gritty defence and some enterprising players in attack.

Alamoti average 170M per game, gonna be huge for our yardage. BBO and Topine were standouts.

It doesn't matter who is promoted, while we have that dope JMK giving the snails pace DH service. I still can't believe after that fast play the ball he passed it to a hole running Burton. Why didn't he go to glue hands Waddell? It's like he was slightly concussed and got it wrong....
I would rather have BBO or Topine at hooker tbh

9. ZDC

Should be there for the rest of the season.

Time to dismantle the narrative that there is a lack of quality... theres a lack of a system to transition them into first graders. The talent isnt the issue mate. There's plenty.
Yh but promoting then now means putting them into that exact system lol

honestly we shouldn't be playing any of the players who are fucking off at the end of the season, its time we start giving these young guys ago the season is done we pretty much have the spoon again
Like Dean Pay said...get 40-50 games into their legs and then we'll know if they are firstgraders or not lol

Makes sense to rotate them and give them a little taste now if they are contracted, or looking to extend contracts.

Gus said that to the guys last night and most didn't 100% bother. It seems the Cup boys knew he was watching and were keen to impress him.

Reward them.

agreed they dont need to play every game but at least give them a go for a few games to gain a bit of experience for next yr.

honestly we need players who are motivated and actually want to play first grade

No offence Wendy, but Pay had players under him with over 100 games & played like a circus act at times!

They are our future to add to the signings we have for next year. We need the widest possible selection of possibles/probables available ready and raring to go and as experienced as we can offer to them, from whats left of this year.

Lol just sarcasm on what Pay said that time about sticking with those players :grinning:

Us Kennel experts reckon we can tell well before 40-50 games if they are any good or not lol

You don't need 40-50 games. That's nearly 2 full seasons but most likely 3.

All you need is about 3 games to decide if they are ready and capable to handle the speed and intensity of NRL. Im not talking 3 games against a full top 4 team, but against teams outside the top 4 or better still, teams from outside the 8.

In 10 games, you can tell if they will ever have it or not.
