Jake was good for 2 games, once coaches saw he had a good dummy and turn of pace it was the end of him.
he’s always been soft, from day 1. He is a one trick pony and in NrL you can’t make it with only a show and go. It’s easy to shut down a 1 dimensional player.
Yh na, VERY short memories on here

I don’t care what anyone says
We were playing better and more threatening with him at 7
Atleast he takes the line on once or twice a game

what does flanakhara do

one out of 5 averillo kicks are pin point
flanakhara Still hasn’t executed a fg level kick this season
But will Gus drop the new coaches son?

Bulldogs is a black hole for talent. He was the next big thing coming into grade and he slowly had the confidence and enthusiasm drained out of him by shit coaches. Can only feel bad for him.

you hear it all the time from the experts, there’s some players you need to cuddle And nurture, and there’s some players who you just let them go and play their game. It’s normal, and we’ve failed all of our players in the first category including avo

He is too soft / peahearted for a modern day centre.

Doesn't have the voice knowledge for a 7.

Everyone says FB, but not convinced.

Only position is a 5/8, but not in first grade at this stage. Especially when we actually have better options.

He needs time in reggies to find his feet again.

He has the athletic ability but he doesn't have the mental fortitude, footy IQ or toughness to play FG. Kiraz has done more in two games than Averillo has done in two seasons.. Averillo needs to stay in Reserves for a while.
Exactly. In reserves until he can figure out what he wants from his footy career.

Even more disappointing than his efforts in first grade have been his efforts or lack of when dropped back to reserve grade - disinterested lazy at best

In reserves
What with some of these players these days …they should be happy to be playing league for a living!

Instead this entitlement attitude is prevalent in the NRL…..Naden sooks he not playing centre and immediate release to Tigers, Averillo look like he not enjoying footy cos he’s not in his favoured position, Flanno spat the dummy last season

Even outside of our club look at Haas, and more recently Lodge refusing to go to NZ despite its a NZ based club and inevitable they were going back at some point….Walsh also making noise

List goes on

I guess we dont really know if he is a good player or not. But he is being judged on his contribution so far.
And that contribution is minimal. I know we are short of players, but keeping him in the team is counter productive.
It is similar to Hopoate. Played abominably, yet was retained.

Our team is so poor. I wouldn’t compare him to hoppa. Hoops reached his ceiling. Silky hands, can read defence and tackle. Just half a yard too slow.

Avo has no confidence and just needs to find it again. Rest of the year in reserves. He only gets a game in top grade if injuries strike and even then no matter how good he really goes he goes back to reggies. It’s all about getting our promising talent into the right headspace.
Next year is a fresh start.

It's the new gen, they want it now, they want it their way, they don't want to work for it.
