Burton can be the best five eighth in the game

EDIT: wrong thread
As @B-Train predicted. I was also laughed at when I said he could be a long term 6 for NSW. He knows Clearys game and he is joined at the hip with Fox..

Short and long kicking game, has pace, a step and can pass. The rest is just time on the job like Thurston says, “the more he plays there, the better he will get”.

Avo played really well again today. Shows a lot of spark in attack and he has adapted pretty well at fullback defensively and positionally considering how few games he's had there.

He always looked uncomfortable in the halves and at centre. Seems to be a lot happier now
Thing is. His stint in the halves will actually make him a better player. He knows what to read and when to inject himself in the line as the 3rd playmaker. Just needs to get that fitness level up.

Definitely worth persisting at 1, there is a few flaws in his FB game but its more positives than negatives but this pre season with him hopefully training at FB and maybe possibly under potter within the coaching staff somewhere, the potential is endless for Averillo.

How beautiful is he in open space? Just seems to glide out there.
