He dropped 2 last week
And he dropped zero against the Sharks in awful conditions. He was always going to be inconsistent under the high ball with limited experience so there's no need to overreact. He has actually done a really good job of organising our defence on the line and although he didn't stop the tries he was at least positioned really well. As I said he has a whole preseason to work on issues, a preseason where he will do work there than he ever has.

Why do you think Gus tried to get the fullback from SHARKS who just made his debut obviously he knows we need someone else at the back!

He isnt FB long term. A few good games and ppl thought he was the saviour.

2 games in a row where he has been a massive liability. Good kid but not our answer

His not the only full back dropping bombs. Give him some time to develop in the role ffs. I notice no one giving him credit for his positioning on their attempted 40-20 today. It was a great kick and he read it perfectly A bit of work in the off season and he will be right .

Averillo was cooked at #7

He has done OK as a FB thus far, and will only improve in the offseason....we do need to bring in a specialist FB coach in the offseason

Unless we nab a Tedesco or Mitchell, Averillo stays at #1

Looks like he has a good dose of long covid I'd say. Two infections and counting.

I'll give him a whole preseason at FB before calling for his head.

ATM it's like he has long covid.

He's shown some glimpses of his potential and his game is best suited to fullback.. But he's dropped 3 or 4 easy bombs the last few weeks and had some poor defensive mistakes against Souths for a few of their tries.

He's still young and inexperienced at the position. He's still the best option we currently have at the club. He needs a full offseason training there.

These last four games will be big for him, he needs to bounce back and make that position his own. At this stage it's too early to tell if he's the long term answer and definitely too early to write him off..

It’s not even the drop balls that’s the issue tbh, that can be ironed out.

He just doesn’t pose much of a threat in the attacking 30. Doesn’t really blend in well with backline movements and isn’t a big body to put teams in 2 minds. Really needs to develop a slicker passing game close to the line as he has enough physical attributes.

Still young but we really can’t afford to put another 12-18 months development then turn around and have no other options

Personally I’d still persist
