I’ll kick off. Now that our fearless leader is back from his 3 month overseas holiday have you noticed your power bill has gone down?

Can someone please let Albo, Penny Wrong etc know they are no longer in opposition and actually need to run the country now?
Looking for gotcha moments on the opposition is meant to end now. You are the government

Nothing will happen before November and of course that’s when the circus leaves town for the year so it’ll be 2023 before anything happens. I was told this by colleagues who deal with Government: what’s happened since the change of Government is most public servants were placed on short term contracts (most of them 6 months) with the excuse that ‘they have to wait until the budget in October before key decisions are made’. The actual truth is they know they’re at least a two term Government and don’t have to do a lot in the first year so you tread water, blame what you inherited, blame the pandemic hangover, cite ‘economic conditions’ and ‘the need to sure up relationships’ so you spend much of the first six months overseas. So expect very little this year.

Not surprising to see Christine Holgate sharpening her axe and having another whinge. Now she wants an enquiry into the enquiry, despite being CEO of an AusPost competitor. Move on. I believe my colleague who worked with her at Telstra and describes her as ‘divisive and corrosive’ - and he’s no fan of Scott Morrison, so his view isn’t political but of experience:

I personally couldn’t care less about what roles the previous PM held tbh.
It’s all in the past people have more important issues to worry about like paying bills and keeping up with a mortgage.

We managed to get through Covid pretty unscathed compared to other unfortunate countries let’s be thankful for that.
The new government deserves a fair shot but let’s see what gets rolled out in time not just lip service.
