Has anyone got any thoughts on finishing moves? Why does every wrestler have to have his own finisher? There aren't enough to go around, and so you get the same move with different names. In the space of a few minutes on Wrestlemania, I saw a Brogue Kick (Seamus), a Claymore (Drew McEntire, and a Helluva Kick (Sammy Zane) and they were all the same move.
Celebrity guest, Snoop Dog (or Dogg), laid a People's Elbow on The Miz. He did it well and it was great theatre, but it didn't look any less hokey than when The Rock used to do it. He criss-crossed the ring a few times, presumably to build up momentum, before coming almost to a complete halt before delivering it. The recipient of the move has got time to leave the ring, get showered and changed, and go home. If The Miz (or whoever else it might be) is so incapacitated that he has to lie there awaiting his fate, why not just cover him and count?
