Also love how Asiata would 'rather work on a construction site' than get vaccinated - but construction sites require proof of vaccination too, so good luck to him
Here is how the Multi-national Insurance Companies can make a mint out of none vaccinated people.
They will manipulate governments around the world to come up with a law " none vaccinated people will not be covered by governments health care ( medicare ) " forcing them to take a very costly Private Insurance Cover.
Government happy = Insurance Co. Happy :rage:

just get vaccinated and you literally have nothing to worry about though? Vaccination is free, painless and has a very very low percentage of adverse side affects. You then get government health care and can continue your 180k footballing career. Its seriously not that hard...

That decision would require only a slightly higher IQ than his boot size, something he obviously doesn't have.

If Thompson leaves, I'm gone too. I can't believe the club is now deciding what the players must to put in their bodies. If the vaccine is even remotely effective, what difference does it make if some don't have it? I don't know much about Asiata as a person, but he has gone up in my estimations for standing up for what he believes in. It's what made this country great in the past, and goes a long way to explaining why we are now a micro managed nanny state.

Mate, personally I have doubts and question marks about the long term affects of the vaccine listening to experts but took a calculated leap of faith and made my decision.
We can't loose our freedom of choice, if we do we will simply slip back into the dark ages of the modern world !!!

The club is not deciding at all. Unvaccinated players cannot play in Victoria and Queensland at the moment. The club didn’t make that decision, the state government’s did.

Therefore if he is unvaccinated he can’t fulfil his contractual obligations.

I think it’s only a matter of time before the NRL makes it mandatory and the club knows it

Agree, i was certainly in no rush to get it until i was unable to go to work or to the pub for example without it. Just had to do it and get on with it, which is pretty much what 90% of vaccinated people have done. In this instance if John doesn't want it, by all means dont get it. But he's willing to forfeit considerable money and opportunity for something that is so simple and such a non event, it really doesn't make sense to me. but thats his choice so away you go mate, go and work in construction but then dont when you realise that they require vaccinations too. then what? The bulldogs have this in place purely from a logistical aspect whereby flights, stadiums, interstate governments etc all require vaccinations. The team will need to be vaccinated in order to play interstate, to get interstate, to stay in accommodation insterstate etc. Its just seriously not that hard to get the bloody thing and move on...

Most of these guys aren't against the vax but they are against the very real possibility of getting boosted every year or 6 months
Ummm most of those guys refused to get a flu shot so yes they are anti vaxxers
