The NRL were declaring souths the chokers before the 2014 season, in 2012 they got knocked out in straight sets and in 2013 they were favourites to win the title and lost against manly and got knocked out in 2015 first round after they "Forgot how to lose"

Chokers is a term I would use when it comes down to the wire...the big occassion and it is all too much....Greg Norman comes to mind.
Dont get me wrong, he is, and always be a champion but could not handle it.
Same as us we are a champion team, but pushing shit uphill from outside the four.
Cannot stress enough the importance of finishing in the top four to go on and win the trophy.
We can look back earlier on in the season where there were at least four games that we were expected to win and win easlily.
How crucial is the current competetion now when if we had won at least two other 'winable' games we would be looking pretty.
If we had broken into the top four we would have been favourites to go all the way.

This, hardly choking! Lost 6 of our last 8 regular games in 2014 to turn around n beat Melbourne storm in Melbourne than beat the previous years runners up (manly) then Penrith only to lose to a very strong souths side! Lost to a storm team in 2012 with the australian spine of smith, Cronk, slater! Geez bit rough this article in my opinion!
Well chooks are chokers too then, numerous minor premierships n dominance for 2 premierships in how long????
Made 3 in a row in 2002 2003 2004 only to win the year we were booted
Minor premierships last 3 years for 1! Lost in 2010 gf also! And the 2000 gf!
So who is the real choker? Chooks in my opinion!

I think already spoken Chokers tag too easily used these days!
Much harder to win a comp now with Salary Cap restrictions so you can not keep everybody for depth both on the bench and if a player gets injured etc
Also since 1990's introduction of one team cities which can arrange very good 3rd party payments which therefore keeps players in those one team cities eg Melb & Brisbane
We can not be hard on ourselves we have made the big dance twice in the last 4 years even though dissapointing that we have not won since 2004 biggest gap since 1980.
We are still a well run club supported by a one of the most profitable leagues club and the most passionate supporters which is one of the biggest in Australia. let us win this year to put all the critics to bed!
So therefore we are not chokers like Greg Norman etc!

6/9 FINALS games
I didnt include gfs , however 6/9 isnt a choke.
2012 melb was offside all game and 2014 we had no kasiano , pritchard and brown only played about 4 tenty minute games leading up to the GF , Hodko , reynolds J mozz all busted in that game .
