Everyone knows that when cars have high mileage, past their best / end of lease etc, they go to homes in western Sydney as used cars or regional NSW.

Most of these cars traditionally were purchased at near scrap value by "Greg's", basically lower socioeconomic men who don't have any money, likely rent and max out their credit cards. But these Greg's like to accumulate a few old bombs to cover their grass on the front lawn, many won't start but it's a "project".

But since covid, used cars have rocketed up in value due to less supply as people are holding onto them longer and increased demand with people avoiding trains / public transport etc.

But recently their old lowered 300,000km statesmans with cut off exhaust have risen in value, so Greg's are looking to offload the spare bomb car for a quick profit ... But problem is they can only sell to another Greg.

So are Greg's ripping off Greg's? The western Sydney Greg's ripping off their regional counterpart Greg's who are not as savvy, paying $8000 for a scrap statesman with hood scoop and cut off exhaust?

Anyone know a Greg?
