Hey guys, just heard on the radio that the dogs are looking to re-sign young talent Arana taumata on a long term deal. Just what i heard. Anyone have anything on this??.

Doubt that theyl have the cash for a long term deal.

unless they can offload another player or 2 any contract may have to be loaded in 2010/11

hope they sign him.....

Holdsworth, Roberts, Groom, Kimmorley, Williams, Blayney, Barba, Reynolds, Jack, Davis...

Stated in another thread. They would have to offload at least 2 fringe players to keep him.

reckon barba will make it as a half in the nrl? or fullback?

I see Barba as a 5/8th or fullback. He aint a halfbacks ar...sehole. Great support play which is what we miss with The General out.

i'd hope it's holdsworth that leaves, his had his chance, hardly sets the world on fire & is to inconsistent

holdsworth should be at lock - i rate him ahead of te maari.
Under Kimmorely, these young guys will excel and we will have a fantastic half / 5/8 combo in a few years.

Like I've said for the last few days, AJ still has a great offer on the table from Newcastle. He's been having meetings with Bulldogs management and Kevvy but it's just going to come down to what AJ wants to take. It's not like where going to offer him peanuts. On top of that, we have the fact that Arana has all of his family and friends living close by him where he is now in Sydney so that's a good pulling point for us.
