The Canterbury Bulldogs have lost another sponsor in light of the Port Macquarie schoolgirl sex scandal.

MPA, the company that sponsored coach Dean Pay and his staff, announced before Thursday night’s Bulldogs game against the Parramatta Eels that they had terminated the deal.

It follows revelations the club lost a $2 million major sponsorship deal with family restaurant chain Rashays earlier this week.

The Bulldogs had been set to announce the Rashays deal on Tuesday, having agreed to terms on a two-year deal.

Two of the Bulldogs’ players, Corey Harawira-Naera and Jayden Okunbor, have been stood down for having consensual sex with two high school girls in Port Macquarie.

“MPA were recently notified by Canterbury Bulldogs management of the off-field allegations relating to two Bulldogs players,” MPA said in a statement.

“As a result , MPA terminated our sponsorship agreement with the Canterbury Bulldogs on Wednesday, which was a high performance partnership with the coaching team.

“We are disappointed that circumstances have required this action, however, it is imperative that the values we strive for are reflected in the organisations we choose to align with.”

Meh who cares....

The problem is the media are ringing all our sponsors and pressuring them to quit... the more you click and pay attention to this rubbish journalism the more pressure they'll apply to our other sponsors.

Our club did nothing wrong and have handled it great...

Don't know who MPA are or what they do which shows they probably wasted their money.

Big choice for Dogs management coming. Sacrifice the players OR stay with supposed family? Wonder which way they will go?

Love how Curtis Scott punches a police officer , Fifita arrested in Bali, Tyrone May makes a sex tape then these two have consensual sex.. and it’s the worst thing ever. These two are dumb ***** it’s simple don’t bring girls back but because they have it’s caused a shit load of problems . Up to the team to keep the good performances and the sponsors will come in. I think we have seen that this team means business

Can’t really blame MPA they have been a long time sponsor. They stood by us during Mad Monday and Napa so there has to come to a point where you say that’s enough.

Economic times are VERY tough at the moment. I think some of these companies see this as an easy out with no reprisals.
The excuse they have been looking for.

I think they will be be sacked over this no questions asked although it was consensual it’s morally wrong and that’s the nail in the coffin

Commercial Builders. They mainly do fitouts. I do a fair amount of work with them. Good company.

They just sent me the email:

Hello All,

MPA were recently notified by Canterbury Bulldogs management of the off-field allegations relating to two Bulldogs players.

As a result, MPA terminated our sponsorship agreement with the Canterbury Bulldogs on Wednesday, which was a high performance partnership with the coaching team.

We are disappointed that circumstances have required this action, however it is imperative that the values we strive for are reflected in the organisations we choose to align with.

We will continue to support the community through other charitable and corporate sponsorship programs, focusing on tangible outcomes and assisting those in need.
