Ambush coming

Is this the end of our run or are we setting up an ambush?
Surely we can’t play 3 shit games in a row.
Nah we're done we look tired and teams a working us out going through the middle.

Looking like the game is at Accor. Guess we’ll find out in 20 mins. But from what’s being reported it looks like turbo will be playing next week and Saab is still out. So I don’t know. We will be almost at full strength so let’s see if we can manage to pull this off

We are specials next week.. we get fully fit cavalry they get a busted Turbo..

We can beat the Eagles now is the time to back the boys

Can we just beat Moanly for once, honestly cannot remember the last time we beat them.

Seems like every time we play them they turn it into a training session.

What game do we play? 4pm saturday??

Agree. If all your blokes are available and reckon you can take them.
Drop the errors and you'll be in Week 2.

so what youre saying is, after 25rds it took manly in rnd26 to figure out that (running through the middle of a small pack would work) and not one other team with big forwards thought to try that at all other than manly and cowboys a team we lost to previously by only 2pts? and with the help of sutton by the wat

your call about the warriors showing how to beat us makes no sense as we beat them twice and the most recent game was 34-18. so im not sure what youre getting at there
Warriors were dominating us in the first half. Making good yards with strong runs from their middles. Cirro in the manly post game presser said “we left some cues last week against the warriors”. Yes we’ve played big packs before and held them out but the last 2 games our defence has been picked apart. I’m not a coach but I don’t understand how our defence can go back to what it was in 2023 so quickly.

Plus they're a lazy defence team who didn't have to absorb anything and when they should have been making tackles and marking up were sitting in the line getting lucky with intercepts.

It won't cut it against the best teams.
I don’t think think they got lucky with intercepts. Their outside backs came up and in fast forcing our halves to throw lofty passes which they were waiting to pluck out of the air.

thats true and also do not forget Cowboys are the inform team in the comp who has not only beaten us but also Storm, Panthers and Sharks in the last few weeks.

For me Cowboys can go all the way and win this .
Cowboys were up there a couple of years ago. They have more or less the same side. I think perhaps the best in the bottom 4. But Sharks have shown in the last couple of weeks they are up there as well and I think could beat the Cows.

Whoever plays them in Townsville is going to find it hard. Though if anyside can it may be the Phins being also from Qld and with that crafty old fox Bennett. But then Knights are also coming good. But I think it will be too hard for them up in north Qld.

A team with a much better attack would have seen this, made some tweaks and exploited them. Cowboys don't get into grinds.

Kurt Mann is a huge loss for us. The result will be different though.

it has been glaringly obvious that we have been off the mark. I’m not saying it intentional but the intensity has not been there.

Come Saturday I genuinely feel that steel defence will be back.

Prediction:

We beat Manly next week
Beat Penrith week after.
Put on a clinic against Storm
And beat the RORTERS IN THE GF

how could we have stepped up with two debutants and hutch in the middle?

humor me.
It’s not like our debutants were the problem. Our defence was shoddy all over the park and our forwards got pantsed again.

Not writing us off against Manly, but it will take a huge turnaround in effort to get to week two.

Happy to be playing finals, though. Overall you’ve got to class the year as a success.
