Similar to the rumour of madge getting the boot at the tigers and Flanagan landing the gig and taking Kyle with him. All remotely possible.. no sauce required

I like the idea of Pearce coming for 2 years to steer the ship a bit like kimmorley did in 09-10 help us be a force make the finals again .
There ain’t too many decent halfs out there available can’t hurt anyways he can help bring one of the young blokes up too just have to keep Pearce away from the office ladies

Yup. He came back from almost a 3 month layoff, played 2 games and then done his hamstring.
That's an injury red flag for signing Pearce as his physicality and speed has always been a feature of his game.

You may actually not be too far off the mark with the first part Isaac… have you been colluding with Dave Holland again?
I doubt it otherwise Klemmer's name would also get a mention.

I'd like an experienced half and Pearce is probably one of the most experienced in the game but I don't think he's the type that's going to lead and help our youngsters develop like BK did previously for us. We would be a better team with him on the field though, probably.
Nasheed here,
Pearce is literally the second most experienced half in the game (304 games) after Benji (338 games) so there.

vafanculo stronzo” Pearce would be a good pick up of under $500k. Listen finocchio suck my cazzo, old mate Isaac might actually get one right for once.

And people on here wanted O,BRIEN
‘O’Brien was always Going to be shit .. toxic culture at knights with toxic players
they stopped playing for the last coach when they were safely in the 8 and got “their man” who has proven to be shit.

everyone can have their opinion on brown but on paper that knights side is worse than what he assembled - another assistant who hasn’t come up through the grades at his existing club getting a gig because he was a “storm assistant “

can no one see that all storm assistants don’t make good coaches - Bellamy adapts , these “assistants “ try his old game plan and don’t have a plan b

So when Bellamy chucks it in this year or next, which of his "Assistant Coaches" is going to take over?

Michael Maguire (assistant coach 2004-09)
Stephen Kearney (assistant coach 2006-10 and 2021)
Brad Arthur (under 20s coach & then assistant coach 2007-10)
Adam O'Brien (development & then assistant coach 2007 to 2018)
Dean Pay (under 20s coach 2010-12)
Anthony Seibold (under 20s coach & then assistant coach 2013-15)
Nathan Brown (coaching consultant 2015)
Jason Ryles (assistant coach 2016-20). He was the most likely but for some reason he has accepted the assistant coach's role for next year at the Chooks after leaving UK RU team due to Covid restrictions. Of course he will have an "NRL Coach" get out clause, the question remains why leave Melbourne when he knew Bellamy was retiring? My guess and it's only guess, is that he was told he wasn't getting the gig, so he left.

There's a lot of bragging that goes on about the "Melbourne System" but it seems to me that it's a myth, once out of Ballmy's guidance the assistants get show up, some rather badly. Their so called "system" is in fact one man, Bellamy and when he retires the house of cards will fall.

‘said it much better than me .

‘’but I think it really says a lot bout all clubs in the nrl .. they cannot develop their own coaches (once upon a time before a coach would get. Gig he would do lower grades at club be success and bein promotional path ) , which is indicative why teams are so shut these days as coaches can’t develop talent

Pearce may work out for us and for him. He needs backing and support. This will also help build his confidence and self-belief. With the old bulldog players coming back to help the new era of players - this can only be a win win situation. You never know, new team, new culture, fresh start.
I guess Pearce could do for us what Jason Taylor did for Parra back in 2001 when they signed him as a veteran from North Sydney Bears??? ... Nah it’s Mitchell Pearce, the worst halfback NSW has ever seen!

Well bloody said! It’s exactly what I think about the whole Storm system and their assistant coaches bullshit. I still think the Storm are rorting the cap much more than what they previously were, just wanted to chuck that in there lol

Maguire and Obrien are in the firing line.
Shane Flannagan is available in 2022.
I think shane Flannagan will be coaching first grade in 2022 and kyle will be in his squad.

Struggling to see a life after Bellamy for Melbourne, of the list I'm thinking either Ryles or they may take a chance on Seibold.

If they went left field then I think someone from Qld comes down, maybe even try the Walker Brothers who then sign Sam Walker a short time later in the long term.
