Dont know if its only our fanbase but geez you guys know how to hate on players, almost to a point it gets personal.

Hate to be in the trenches with u lot that bag a player the moment they drop the ball.

Theres 2 sides to every story fellas.
Check out the Broncos forum or the 1eyed eels archive during their spoon years...

Not fussed if he goes, but it is a shit go if the club didn't up his next deal if in fact he was taking pay cuts to ease cap pressure. No reward for loyalty doesn't sit well with me if true. However, he is not worth more than $400k or so.

Heard him talk yesterday on one of those nrl shows on fox and by the way he was talking you can tell he doesn't want to stay at the dogs

GOOD riddance. We are playing better without him. He might have been one of the best for us this year but he is playing with reserve graders. So comparing him to his current team mates is not a high standard.

We can find better game breakers. He has hardly ever ofter won Man of Match.

He might appear to run hard but he has been shit for 4 years.

Good luck to him... we want players that love to play for the jersey. He is just a rejected statistic now.

Contract cuts?
Pretty much been a minimum wage player since he’s been with us and pretty fortunate to be in the NRL (wouldn’t make many other NRL starting 17) so don’t think the club has used and abused him whatsoever. Should be grateful to be fair.

Great to see the club isn't being taken for a ride and handing out overpriced contracts to anybody who wants them. Even though we have the money. Was always obvious by his comments he's looking for a big contract. I was worried we'd stupidly oblige because he showed some actual first grade form for the first time in years

cant keep them all, and if want to be a competitive team we have to get a better quality player than elliot to do that

Well....not that's really true either. Napa, Jackson, DWZ are 3 players on massive overs. Hopefully it means from now on the club wont be "handing out overpriced contracts to anybody who wants them"

We can't continue to invest big money in average players... finally the club is making the right decision... he has defensive issues and his attacking input is far too inconsistent to be earning the money hes commanding..

A little shocked to hear leaving. I guess players keep hearing about our warchest and want a piece of the pie....

He got a partner and kid to look after,he’s also played a handfull of decent games, doesn’t mean we have to pay more, and after all we gave u a start, when no one else did, loyalty works both ways
