Our recruitment team is a disgrace and they should be sacked...in fact they sacked the wrong people, what was it 7 x staff.....looked in the wrong areas for scalps.
Furthermore they will be even more of a disgrace if they resign Elliott, Montoya, and Holland.

its been 15 years since we held the trophy up with a grand final win 2004 is a long time ago, in those years from 2005 till now we have gone from one of the strongest clubs with strong recruitment and a strong foundation to a club struggling to make the top 8 with a couple of ok seasons in between.

salary cap took players from us in 2005 for a few years, des came on board building what turned out to be a cross between of the titanic and great train robbery, where we had no choice but to let players go, this is where the new board and leadership comes in, while they cannot say what they have been doing in regards to recruitment,it does look like what ever they been doing hasnt been enough to get the signature any one of significance, the time the board have is fast running out as the end of this season they have openly said we have a war chest to work with, lets see what they can produce by the start of next season

Because you’ve made several wrong assumptions that your summation is correct and there’s nothing else to it. And you claim to know a player involved - perhaps your scorn is personal - your mate missed out?

'An offer'. Defined by what? Let's take the Turbo boys as an example. Manly were late to the party to re-sign them but they were never leaving.
Any manager worth their salt would of course be seeking other offers to get Manly (where they were ALWAYS staying) to pay the most.
It's common sense.

Semi the same - he was never coming back to the NRL. But he was linked to Soufs - are they incompetent for not landing him too?

To suggest that we 'failed' to lure them is just ridiculous.

Thanks Ray but we weren’t in a salary cap position to sign most of those players thanks to Raelene, Des & yourself. Many of them didn’t want to leave their existing clubs either

I agree what’s the point of dwelling about names which have been thrown out there in the media & general speculation all the time
Let’s hope our current squad step up this year
