Dean pays style of footy just does not work,we had enough football tonight to kill the game of,and couldn't manage it,the one out stuff was ok in 1990,but it doesn't work today,I have said all year, that dean needs a couple more years,as an understudy to someone who, employs today's style, and reads a game, better,he has persisted with Marshall king all year, but he is just not first grade standard,1 point that no one has bought up over the years, our last 2 coaches were. Both prominent in the late 80s early 90s as players, but that style of play, doesn't work in the modern day,I have no personal grind with dean pay,we have some good young players coming through but they need someone to show them the way,and dean is not the one

Lol second phase play is not 90’s footy, we don’t have anyone running at holes.

Having 2 halves that havent yet proven themselves in reserve grade starting at NRL is a problem

Not one short ball tonight... nobody running into holes. Second phase play went out the window once fatigued dropped in.

Against the raiders and knights it was completely different footy... angled runs n all... You reckon pay keeps changing the strategy?

Down a player and Parra with 60% possession is going to tell on any team. Had we been gifted that much ball while Parra was down to 12 it could have been a totally different story.

Game was lost once we failed to score when we got that penalty in front of the stix and decided to Des it for a set that went to shit and handed the ball back.

I reckon we win if we take the 2... Basically let them back into the game. Would love to know who came up with that decision.

Indeed we did, but the half time possession was Parra 57% Dogs 43%, and the Dogs down one player for the last ten minutes. It was the possession that Parra had in the latter stages of the half, against a 12 man side, that did the damage. The were able to recover from the early onslaught because the possession turned around before they tired.

He's a very simple coach with no tactical nous at all, just completely out of his depth at NRL level. Needs to be moved on before pre season.

I think the last time I ever saw a Bulldogs half put someone through a hole with a short ball or go to the line with an inside ball was Brett Kimmorley circa 2010 to D Stagg!

If you had 2 choices of a coach

Option 1- Experienced coach
Option 2- Untried up and comer

Who would be your choices with this current squad?

It is pointless to try and judge him with our rusted in the shape it is, regardless of whether people think he’s the answer. There is just no way in hell he won’t be here st the start of next year imo. It is wishful thinking to think otherwise.

We appointed him, we need to give him a chance to show what he can do with an nrl standard roster and without all this salary cap drama over his head. If we sack him now it will only negatively impact our reputation and make coaches AND players less keen to come here.

No player wants to gone to a basket case club that changes coaches every few years.

Any coach including Bellamy would struggle to get the best out of this roster. The fact we’ve been competitive for. It’s of the year suggests he’s at very least a decent motivational coach.

No side in the comp would be a hope of success with our found and the fact our two best forwards are doing more than a lipn’s Share of the work.

The team has problems which extend way beyond the coach. Sacking him now would only compound them.
