To be fair, I've been my fair share of honey bee's when I've gone up there to Terrigal beach. I remember this one chick I saw was wearing a strapless 2 piece leopard skin bikini. The chick had to keep holding it up in the water. This chick was PERFECT. Naturally dark blonde hair, tanned skin, model-like face, fit body to die for

Now we're talking 2005 GF day, so chances are today she's married with kids and exploded in size :tearsofjoy:
Without a doubt. Probably ten times the size with 8 kids.

Damn straight. Give me a PS4, a TV, a few cases of beer and some food then leave me alone until early January.
That will literally be my xmas. I am not a fan of xmas much anymore. I have no family left apart from one brother(who doesn't give a fuck bout xmas) i also don't get to have my kids at all let alone see them round xmas. My mum also passed away around xmas 2 years ago so for those reasons i'm not too festive.

Whilst some may use "Xmas" to remove Christ, the origins of its use are not disrespectful at all...

According to the internet, The “X” is actually indicating the Greek letter “Chi”, which is short for the Greek
, meaning “Christ”. So “Xmas” and “Christmas” are equivalent in every way except their lettering (this is the short version). Effectively, its just an abbreviation.

If we are going to get technical on respecting the birth of Christ, we should try to find out exactly when this birth took place (as it is highly doubtful is was late December) :grinning:

So, lets just all celebrate how we wish: Christmas, Xmas etc. Peace and chicken and all that jazz.

Yep I’m with you..it’s not taking the ‘Christ’ out of Christmas at all..so any concerns of disrespect would be unfounded..

Ps..if you actually take the description in the bible of the ‘environmental’ conditions..religious scholars suggest it was more likely around the end of September..

The exact day of Christ's birth is not important at all to real Christians. Even though it's linked to paganism and over-commercialisation, we will and always will celebrate the real reason.

Us Assyrians actually translate it as "the small celebration". Easter is our "major celebration", as one can argue the reason we celebrate Easter is the most important day for us.

In other words, we are thankful Jesus stepped foot on this Earth but more thankful why he stepped foot on this Earth.

7 weeks, that's some serious annual leave.

Reminds me of the 5 weeks I did in the US and Mexico , 6 Christmases ago now... gee time flies. Did fish and chips on Santa Barbara pier with my parents. One of the best Christmases ever.

Have a great time.
Cheers man!!!

Yeah it is a pretty good chunk!! 1 of the perks of being a nurse is we get 6 weeks a year instead of 4!! Very thankful for that means we can actually do a decent length trip!! My wife did exchange in a place called Rochester which is in northern New York State so we are gonna have Chrissy there with some of her friends from church & college so fingers crossed will be a white Christmas!! I love a summer Chrissy in Australia there is just something cool about it being hot & spending the day in the pool with some snags on the barbie & being outside till late getting absolutely destroyed by mozzies but not caring cause it is Christmas that is magical in its own way... but will be cool to check a white Chrissy of the bucket list too

I know it is nothing in the bigger scheme of things but you have us brother for a chat or vent or whatever you need.

I don't mind sharing the day with anyone. I just find it funny and hypocritical of the loud mouth, trouble making ***** who go out of their way to insult people of faith but happy to have the days off.

If you don't want anything to do with faith then don't have the days off and work, *****.

We could take it further:

- Non-Australians to work Australia Day.
- Republicans to work Queens Buirthday (bugger, that includes me).
- Those who vote for conservative parties to work Labour Day.
- Those who aren't servants to work Boxing Day.

Then we have the local stuff. If you are in Brisbane City Council we get a silly midweek holiday in August for the Brisbane show, but i normally don't go :p

EDIT: Actually, the more I think about it, as a non-religious person, it would be MORE offensive for me to work on Christmas Day as I would then be belittling the importance of the event for you.

So I have to take the day off. Sorry! :grinning:

Talk about slippery slopes....

I'd rather you enjoy the day off too and relax.

PS you are somewhat respectful of believers and don't go out of your way of being a ****, so it's all good.
