It looks like Dogs are obsessed with buying players with GF experience.

Our 2024 squad has 7 players who have experience in grand finals, with 5 players even winning. This is a promising sign, as more than half of the squad has been part of the big game.

These 7 players have all been part of a great squad in the past, that knows what it takes to be part of a successful team. Hopefully they can all gel together and bring some of this winning culture to the Bulldogs.

It is a real bonus to have that experience on board. A cool head in big match days will certainly help. Slowly but surely we are assembling a decent team and our juniors are traveling 1st class. Cannot wait for the 24 season starting to look real promising.

I’m not sure what fans expect these days - a history of split boardrooms and Des Haslers parting gift to us resulted in a need for a major overhaul - Step in the right direction imo having that experience and professionalism.

Our 2024 squad has 8 players who have experience in grand finals, with 6 players even winning. This is a promising sign, as more than half of the squad has been part of the big game.

Gotta be optimistic . . . Will come in handy when we make the gf next year

The more winning culture and experience we have, the better.
Eventually, it will filter down, along with their knowledge of what big games are like.

It all comes crashing down to earth when they play for a team that only puts up a midfield bomb for a last tackle option.

What’s their experience with being in a poorly coached side, with no moral and getting thrashed on a cold July night?

Not sure what team you were watching, his Lordship said getting dusted 66-0 two thirds of the way through the season was part of their pre season objectives and shows the rebuild is on track.

Please discontinue from attempts to destabilise his Lordships 10 year rebuild.

Does anyone know why that was all Coach Cecil had in his kitbag for a whole season of last tackle options?
He must need a bit more rebuilding before he adds some variety into proceedings

It hasn’t been just this last season. It’s been the play since 2015. The attack has been embarrassing

At what point can we stop blaming Des? 10 years? 15 years?

I’d almost say that meant we were ahead of schedule on the Triassic age rebuild

what i hate about these sort of players coming in is that they think they have the formula for success and in every situation they will explain why the bulldogs are not a success, they will pinpoint everything etc

for example coach ciraldo coming in and talking about the wrestling situation, he said this is one of the reasons that the bulldogs weren't successful because they didn't wrestle late people in the past

then if the bulldogs were run like a nazi death camp previously, ciraldo would say the club is not successful because they need to lighten up a bit

Well ahead of schedule. After that game when his Lordship summoned the entire media fraternity to his office to say that his work was effectively done and things couldn't possibly be looking any better having coach Cecil at the helm. All players and staff have been doing an outstanding job this season.
