No we just paid him the remainder of this year. We save nothing this year. His pay from 1 Nov onwards is null and void

I hope we don't spend it for the sake of spending it and sign a dud. Should be patient. If someone worth signing in a position if need comes up then great. If not, we can always advance someone of the contracts and spend it later

I must be one of the few who doesn't want Pearce. I hope they're patient with the cap space and wait to see the fallout of who's available once a few coaches are sacked and players are moved on in the next few months.
I don't want Pearce either b-train. He is just as likely to mess up as Elliott. I was hoping we would pick up Adam Clune, but he's gone to Newcastle.

I wouldn’t worry. Pearce isn’t coming. Certainly not for $500k when he is on $600k+ for Newcastle next year.

yep flanno + elliott cash equals a cheese a thon
I think to get rid of flanno we will be up for 50% or more of his wages leaving 200-250 max….giving 700-750 available including the savings from punting the idiot …. no where near enough for cheese unfortunately…

I don’t think they will buy anyone …the cap has just been fixed and allows us to upgrade Burton if needed. If they can offload any of Flanagan, Wardell and Allen they will and that’s when they will buy a player or two.

Yeah there all pretty short $1.60 etc.
Tooradin in the 1st at flemington should be good for about $4.
i dont mind shorties though especially good ones group 1 horses or potential to be so Artorius and Ayrton are bankers.
Later on R7 i could back two horses to win the same amount with Zoutori and The Astrologist $7 and $5 respectively eg 40 wins Zoutouri 60 The Astrologist, both are guns down the straight.

yeh mate am kind of dreaming cause it's free lol..but if flanno follows dad we will pay a bit less?.So maybe high 700s/800 that isn't too far off his pricetag...

Who are they
Best ones are Artorius R2 and Ayrton R5 both SHORT.R3 Ingratiating not quite as confident but a quinella with Finance Tycoon looks good they nearly certainly run 1/2 and later on R7 back two horses at $7 and $5 Zoutori and The Astrologist..and i'm still going lol in R8 Mo'unga can beat the spruik horse Incentivise, i reckon Mo is a potential group 1 beast has already won twice at top level..Incentivise only a listed/group 3 winner albeit winning by BIG margins

You can potentially front load and free up close to a mil for 2023…Which is plenty for a major signing at 1,7 or 9. Otherwise upgrade a few contracts and lock in some of our up and comers - the 5-6 juniors they mentioned.

If we're compliant with the minimum spend, I'd just keep it up our sleeve.

Someone somewhere who's not on the market now will be before cutoff next year and it might be someone we wished we'd kept the money for.

Right now it'd just be spending it because we got it.

I got Silent Impact race 5 no.7 Kembla out of the Waterhouse Bot staple trailed well paying 4.20 into Anamoe race 8 no. 2 Kemble short odds paying 2.25 although Stay Inside scares me into Mo’unga Flemo
