Im backing the club too and i really like the Galvin signing. The reality he has not played well enough (understandable as a half in a new team) to lock down a spot. Our bench is unbalanced with him IMO. It threw our performance off last week and also against Riff when we lost DSF.

Inu from game 1 was a gun. Perret was also indisputable the best option. Galvin gas nit shown that. Taking Reed off to played Sexton at hooker doesnt make us better

Mase wouldn't be doing this (this way) bc he knows he would expect to be invited to leave for disloyalty to the coach and the direction he is taking us.

These guys should realise that as well and have common sense to work out Gus is not the Gusfather for nothing.

They can expect a horse head in bed with them unless they make good real quick ;)

At the end of the day, the club didn't want Mahoney under his terms and I think this was obvious from before Galvin was even leaving tigers. I think they want Milky to move to 9 and that is partially due to depth in the 13 with Mann, Salmon, Todd and now Finau Latu. Is it a good move? We will see.

Did Rod Silva earn his spot in 1995 after playing with the Rooters till rd 16. Then played straight away in rd 17 replacing Greg Fleming who played fullback till rd 17 then missed out on a grandfinal win..

Great example with Perrett and Inu, changed us positively from the get go, we probably wouldn’t have made the GF that year without them.

I like the Galvin signing too, where he fits in best (starter, bench or cup) is something Ciro will have to figure out but at least we’re figuring it out early and not on the eve of finals, I trust we’ll find the right balance when it matters most and that will carry onto 2026 and beyond.

We'll get over this Galvin hate pile on, and the team adjustments to him, and Ciro will get the guys back on track if there are any real concerns.

Galvin is not going to ruin Woods' career either. That hysteria talk is silly.

Hope Critta personally speaks to these guys who spoke to Braith lol (doubt that happened but if it did, they should have a quiet word to critta to see what can be done to calm their farm).

Crittas back (and hopefully no injuries) and he'll get the guys united and supporting Galvin just as he did in his first week here.

On the field also Critta will be a great help to Galvin and should help his confidence and pass selection.

Or....Mahoney didn't like the terms of the club. Its the same as Sexy. Apparently we didn't resign him because a) Gus had the shits because his manager went public, b) Gus/CC didn't think he's good enough, c) Galvin apparently is an immortal in waiting d) Sexy wanted more money e) Sexy wanted a longer term or some combination of the above.

Reality is something very few people on TK know despite all the eggspurts. Anyone actually know whether Milky (a career half) would be happy to play long term in the trenches? I don't and doubt anyone else does too. But apparently thats the plan and a guy who can negotiate with other clubs come November is obviously gunna say yes.

Go figure.

Dunno about the rest but this is bullshit actually. News that we signed Sexton was on 4th July 2023. He played NRL 4 days later. It was only later in his time at the club he was demoted (maybe start of 2024) but he was bought midseason and played immediately.

So just on this one example alone which is just over 2 years ago, Anasta is made to look silly. Not only that, it’s a player that he has probably used as an example of Galvin causing unrest lmao.

Eta: Sexton wasn’t even playing first grade when we signed him, but was he asked to “earn his stripes”? Not at all. Straight into the team and had a very good impact tbh. We must have been desperate. Can someone remind me why? Who did we have that wasn’t cutting it at 7? Wakeham, Hayward, BBO?
