3 - JJ. Huge effort, stung the opposition with some of his tackles, other tackles made were vital. Did some really courageous carries, 56 tackles, 39 post contact metres, no errors or pens, played the right game for the conditions.
2 - Thommo, stood strong in the middle, 39 tackles non missed, the only forward to get multiple tackle breaks, stood up to the Chooks
1 - Lewis, two tries, the first one was amazing. Also a solid kicking game and put in some hard work in defense. You could see it killed him to miss the 1 on 1 on big Tupounia that one time because he nailed him every time afterwards. His side was targetted, he did 22 tackles to Avo's 14, and Schoupp did 14 to Hoppa's 5.

Honourable mentions.

The youngsters Schoupp, BBO, and Manu, they put in, and put some of their older teammates to shame. Schoupp topped PCM.
Meaney - Most run metres, not the first time he has done so this season, and took the chance for a try when it presented itself.
Katoa had a good first half, he was strong in the middle in defense, and had a good grubber for a repeat set. He could rack the cue given he has a contract in England next year, but he is making an effort, defends well, and comes up with a good play now and then.
I also thought Wadell was good in the first half, he had no missed tackles, and in fact made some key ones. Got tired in the second half, but he played the full 80, made 47 tackles, and missed 5, compare that with someone like Ogden who played less than 40, had 22 tackles and 4 misses. Also, no errors from Corey, which was nice for a change.

How ironic is it that Hoppa won't pull his finger out of his ass given his old mans form.

The defence on the fist try was embarrassing.

How come so many people are voting for Hetho? Is it a sympathy vote for him getting pinged for the head high tackle?

Agree with this.

JJ was Herculean

LL brought some great energy. Kicked beautifully. First try was a ripper. Bye bye Flanno

Thommo’s opening stanza was as good as I’ve seen from a forward of ours for years. Toiled well in his second stint.
On point. Jacko played like a rep forward tonight as did Thommo.

Lewis's 1% are extremely underrated, kid deserved that try and probably deserves a chance to play out the season to try and earn himself a contract somewhere.

BBO is a gun in the making... Great pick up from the Deano and Anderson clan.

Spot on mate.

We may have parted company with the old guard but they’ve certainly left some treasure behind. BBO was a great pickup. Think we nabbed Schoupp from the Dragons as a 16/17yr old at about the same time also. Elite youngsters flowing out of the system like Averillo and Alamoti. Our juniors system is in a great space as is the state of our salary cap. Very healthy at present.

Foundations are set, just cant wait for Burton to arrive and start steering this ship... His voice will be priceless.
