Daley at least bar picking Softcano has got most of the selections right. Fittlet was just a dead set goose who picked blokes out of position or not in form

Sort of proves an old saying “you don’t need a long neck to be a goose“ as far as Fittler is concerned.

Just another example of a high class player who couldn’t cut it as a coach. Playing and coaching are different skill sets.

Don't get me wrong Daley isn't a significant upgrade but he's way better than Fittler. I mean who in their right mind thinks lets put Damien Cook in the centres?

Fair call.

Or Nicho Hynes in the centres when he was able to use the HIA interchange since the Queensland player was sin binned with Matt Burton on the bench.

Heath Ledger near an Origin side is bad enough

But didnt Daley put Nicho in the centres instead of activating Burto as 18? That was madness - and then Munster schools Nicho.

Walsh is a bigger out for Brisbane than Kiraz is for us
Broncos can easily cover the fullback role though. Meanwhile we have picked a centre and wing combination that are less effective at stopping players, than witches hats and plastic caution tape.

Im sure there was a time when Fitler or Daley forgot to activate teh 18th man when Turbo went down. Must of been Fitler. That was fkn fried
There was no 18th man the previous time Daley coached in Origin which was back in 2017.

I think you're talking about Game 1 of 2023 when Fittler didn't activate Burton & play him at centre instead he put Hynes at centre.

Yeah, that must be it bro. That was diabolical coaching from Fitler

If you stop and think about it, what Daley did actually makes sense.

He is obviously worried about To’o but he also wants to give him every chance to pass the fitness test. He also wants the next best option in Kiraz if To’o does fail, and it would be a tough ask calling in Kiraz at the last minute for his debut in a decider. By naming him as 18th he gets him for the whole camp so he will be ready just in case.
The obvious drawback is that if To’o passes then NSW have a winger as 18th man.
However as everyone has been making noise about, 18th man being called in is very rare (why can’t they play their club game!?!) so it’s obviously a risk NSW thought worth taking.
Tbf even if Kiraz was activated in the game as 18th man, I feel NSW have options to cover whoever

Did Horse fuck Billy Slaters mother or something? I don't get how he never makes the squad. Their pack is rubbish and he's one of their best forwards.
because he was shit when he did get selected to play

Umm, correct me if I am wrong but To’o was under doubt last game. Then Burton was 18th man….what’s changed? Don’t get me wrong great to see Jacob acknowledged but if he stays 18th man and doesn’t play, what’s really changed.
Exactly mate
What's the point of To'o playing anyways (he's injured is he not)
