thank goodness we didn’t sign Stefano or Leniu. Two overrated cats who cannot even get the best out of themselves in good club systems
Hudson young has contributed sweet fuck all to a blues jersey after all these years of being selected lol
Examples of how NSW get selections wrong for SOO footy.
Too many show ponies who aren't tough enough or driven to get it done no matter what the adversity.

Qld pick specific types of tough, hard toilers who go all night and a sprinkling of reliable tough, hard x factors to complement each other.

A winning formula that NSW just cant seem to emulate or just cant seem to motivate sufficiently well enough.

Qld are better at being 100% dependable and motivated and never say die.

NSW can often have the better team on paper but SOO you need the right players... not always the Latrells of the NRLol.

Plus NSW frequently make mistakes in choosing a coach.

You're missing the point. We're talking about the cities themselves. You can live near some of the best beaches in the world in Sydney. What are you gonna do in Brisbane? Pitch a tent at South Bank?

Have you checked the real estate around Noosa, Mooloolaba, Main beach, Burleigh heads, , hope island etc.

Ive told my boss im going home because im "sick" lol

Going to go home hop in bed and stuff my face pretend this last week never happened

Yeah but have you checked the real estate around Westmead, Parramatta and Harris Park?

Nah just kidding brother haha!

after last night and how NSW got beaten by the worst QLD side ever in history in 2020, I have now come to conclusion that you can put 13 witches hats in the field with QLD jumpers on and NSW would still find a way to lose the game/ series.

is that including the local parks or excluding?

It depends if they have been renamed yet lol...

"In Melbourne, a lake in Berwick Springs was renamed Guru Nanak Lake in honor of the founder of the Sikh faith."

Hopefully you feel better after Staurday night :grinning:

all that been said, if lomax could kick goals...

Next year I really believe it's Kiraz time for the Blues he's your guy who never gives up and is a constant threat in the air and runs more metres and offloads better than Lomax ever will. In the pack we need to really look at Ricky's Canberra pack and take them into camp next year as I'm sorry Liam Martin and A Chricton appear to be pass their prime. Up formt Tyrell May Payne Hass and Spencer Leniu should be the main bodies to work off aswell. The spine is also going to be another area of contention however if we work with a Spine of Dylan Edwards, Mitch Moses Isaiyah Katoa with Cleary to play a role similar to Joey did at 9 we could really unlock some space and enhance the kick threats around the ground. I would have Burton as our 13 and move Yeo out aswell back to the bench.
So here's my team for next year

1 Dylan Edwards
2 Brian To'o
3 Latrell Mitchell
4 Stephen Crichton
5 Jacob Kiraz
6 Mitchell Moses
7 Isaiyah Katoa
8 Payne Haas
9 Nathan Cleary
10 Mitch Barnett
11.Simi Sasagi
12 Hudson Young
13 Matt Burton
14 Jarome Luai
15 Spencer Leniu
16 Jacob Preston
17 Tyrell May

They're not in Brisbane

Anything within 2 hour travel time is considered in Brisbane, just like in Sydney.

I live in Logan and I can get to Hope Island in a quicker time than the Brisbane CBD, unless you think Logan is also not part of Brisbane haha

Serious question… how much grass did you smoke today??

The problem is that NSW expect Cleary to single-handedly do everything. Those great QLD players had three other serious threats in the spine. Even now, Dearden has Munster and Grant who both are a serious threat. Robson and Luai are barely a threat at club level
Cleary has won 4 titles, so yeah when you get paid 60k for two matches we kind of expect him to pull his chin out of his ass and execute those games

The halves pairing that won 4 titles and you fuckin bomb to lomax and fatrell who are running in quicksand?

Disappointing result, should’v stepped up when needed there was no excuses

Well, at least we answered the question about whether the 2014 Blues side only won because they completely ignored everything Daley said.
There is only one way to beat queensland and that is to outbully them. To be in a state of mind where if a seagull shits on the field the NSW players are fighting each other to taste it.
The dogs should take note from last night.
Queensland is basically Melbourne Storm on steroids.
They will push up 5 metres and get away with it, they will lay all over the tackle and get away with it, and Munster will spend the game waving his arms around.
What we saw last night is what any finals game against Melbourne will look like.
It is no use realising in hindsight we didn't out-compete, bully Melbourne. And lost because of it.
I am over watching Queensland make Origin completely unwatchable.
And I don't want Melbourne to do the same to a Bulldogs game.
Make it unwatchable and to beat us because of it.

Final thoughts:
Leniu was good.
And the Bulldogs dodged a bullet not signing Utoikamanu. The guy who went to Melbourne instead of Bulldogs because they supposedly have the better system.
He might get better over time but that was a disgusting lack of effort from him last night.

IMO the issues start with the coach - listening to him, watching the body language etc he is a "footy generation" behind in terms of coaching / leadership. Kaeon K should have been one of the first forwards picked (and i hate Souths), Kiraz as 18th man - no impact on result but the reason given was non sensical - ie cover for Too - what in case he is injured through foul play or several other HIAs are the only way he would get on the field couldnt replace him if he injures his calf/ hammy - half the spine ie Robson no spark - has he watched Api play - could have shared with Watson, if only planning to play a middle for 23 minutes why a work horse like King - wouldnt a forward with spark be more suitable (KK)

That's what happens when you face a set line all game. NSW never put a genuine dint in their line.. as they say, the forwards win the game, the halves decide by how much
