I'm not saying Sydney doesn't offer more as far as education and shit goes, but for just the average Joe, cost of living is much better up there for anybody who wants to live in, or close to the city.

Gold coast beaches are 40 minutes away and sunshine coast is under 2 hours.

it takes you guys similar time in Sydney to travel from let say Penrith to Bronte beach? or Bankstown to Manly beach?

so when i say Brisbane, i include the area all the way from Coolangatta to Sunshine Coast.

Attraction wise you can not beat the theme parks and fun activities you can do in Gold Coast. the entire Australia comes to Gold Coast for holidays, we live here 24/7

For mine all of NSW coastline is better than Qld (even the beaches) except for Whitsundays/reef and the Qld weather is far superior also.

The weekly Sydney shootings keep us on our toes though I must say hahaha...

I have never rented in Sydney, just mortgaged so I've been paying a lot more than renters weekly yet I am doing okay, travel times sometimes do take long even for short trips, but it is a busy city and I find things are usually pretty close to each suburb or only 1-2 suburbs away if you need something you can't find which is pretty handy

As a young person with no family/ kids I may go with Sydney, yes. So i get it why you would prefer Sydney over Brisbane.

But trust me, Brisbane is not much different to cultural life style, access to hobbies, restaurants, social gatherings, community, party scene , education etc.

Every thing is close by where I live with reduced travel time.

Only thing i miss after moving from Sydney is family, bankstown, doggies fans and regularly going to bulldogs games. haha

And I didn’t just say that because NSW lost because frankly I don’t care. There’s no more fights which we all loved, no media build up or hype leading to the match and the intensity of the matches have dropped for sure.

Yes but in Sydney you can live near the beach and not have to drive down a freeway

You're so right about GC to SC tho.

But if comparing cities between Brissy and Sydney. Sydney by far..not even close.

The true/best Qld experience is not living in Brisbane IMO.
Its a more affordable coastal or regional Qld.
That's where the benefit and differences between the States lie (IMO).

These mr nice guy coaches like Daley, Fittler and Slater are ruining it.

I would honestly have no issue bringing in Hasler. Unleash him on the referees and players. Screaming, doors ripped off hinges, get the players to fire up and start a fight or two.

yeah you need somebody who has that edge about them. And here's the issue with Loz.. even if he did want to get into the niggle, QLD have 8 years of dominance to dish out on him... he'd never win that battle, so he can't get an edge there either way.

Katoa plays a lot like Nathan. He relies a lot on passive defence... I reckon Strange would be more suited to the arena

we're talking about Brisbane and Sydney, though! lol Don't get me wrong, I love Brisbane.. I'd live there again, but Sydney is a much better city overall.
