Surprised that Belinda Sharpe ratio for challenges isnt worse. She is a terrible ref in the middle, probably worse in eth bunker.

Not sure she’s been in the bunker. Are you confusing her with Kasey Badger?

I think every game sutton has been the ref for us there has been a sinbin lol

last year against dragons and sharks i think is the only time we haven't had a sin bin under sutton ever since that good Friday game

Sweet. It's quite amazing at how our 2025 recruitment has worked out. Turns out taking a chance on players in the lower grades works out.

Might have something to do with the coach not tying himself to a small group of players and looking to refresh the squad.

Tbh with the Tigs, they couldn’t have done much more to keep LG and TDS. LG wanted out some time ago for whatever reasons, but it was probably due to stuff that started a few years ago when Sheens advised them to hire him to be the coach lol. He was supposed to come in and do an assessment of where the club was at and what they needed and he was like “you need to hire me permanently“ lmao. I think Benji taking over from him as coach was part of that plan. It’s showing major cracks now with these young guns wanting out.

In the case of TDS, I do think they may have been able to keep him, but they have committed to Api. This is mismanagement no question about it. You need strong enough leadership so that these kids want to stay and bide their time. With the right management you’d have him believe that playing as Api’s understudy is in his best interests, but at no point should you commit to a quality, experienced player, over a guy who has a decade of football ahead of him. That is unless you don’t rate him that highly.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I've counted like 18 players listed this week who have played with the Bulldogs previously.

Surely that's some sort of record, and yes we could probably almost piece together a shitty side from it.

Okay so I've finally pieced together Round 17 / 18 Rejects team, based on all ex Bulldogs playing in last 2 rounds.

This is not a surprise. Everyone who watches the game already know this. An apple is not an orange just like players and teams are not the same. Earn it. Artificial manufacturing yeah we’ve all been saying it. This is why the referees are all becoming clones of each other. This is why the game is becoming a shambles. We all hear the early calls of held, get off , no reward for great tackles. KPI’s are great when they are not artificially engineered. No rewards for legs and midriff tackles, instead gang tackles bringing more concussions, more six agains, more penalties. Just let them tackle properly and allow them the right to be a bit longer in a tackle. Good on you Kent.
