I've said it before & I'll say it again. Goals should only be worth 1 point.

Souffs have completely muffed this GP, Strom absolutely clinical. How to do Golden Point 101 is the Strom. You have to move the ball early, you need to make 60+m in your set, 1 up hit ups are never going to cut it, which is what Souffs did.

Statisticaly we're the best golden point team. Can't even remember the last time we lost in Golden point..

Bennett perhaps now losing his touch?

What lay in the ruck and get away with it. Fucking scum team Melbourne.
Souffs let them, you can't do a set of 6 that is just 1 out hit ups in Golden Point, you have to get the ball going through hands, that is how you make the extra metres, it is also how you make sure the defense doesn't get 3 players into the tackle. Refs are going to be very disinclined to blow penalties in GP, so you are going to get away with slowing it down if you can get 3+ players into the tackle, and Souffs in their set made that very easy for the opposition to achieve.

I was hoping Souffs would win, just like most others in here, but the fact is that they were rubbish in GP, and Strom were clinical. Anytime the Doggies are in GP I'd want them to do what Storm just did then. You need decent shots at FG, and you can't do that without getting down the field. You have to find a way to get down the field.

We are best by far, and that is for the whole NRL era. Most of the time we've been in GP we've gotten more shots at goal then the opposition, that is the key to winning them. The one set Souffs had they looked like they had no clue what they were doing.

Impossible to make ground in GP when your getting layed on and then the ref stops play instead of giving you the penalty you deserve. Ref basically locked Souths to sub 30m that set

No Dogs game and Qld, Raiders and Storm all got away with wins in games they probably should've lost.
Rough round.

They didn't bother lining up for a proper spread until the last two tackles, and when they did they still did 1 up hit ups. Doesn't matter if you are getting quick PTB or not, you can't do that in GP, you are going to make 40m at most, and that is not going to get the team in position for a FG shot that has a good chance. I wonder if they were just thinking it didn't matter where they got to, LM would slot it anyway. They gave him absolutely nothing.

Did you sense that from his post-game interview? I did too.

Its the part where Pappy says its alright if you make the errors on opportunity plays. You can just tell that its against what Bellamy thinks.

I wouldn't say they have beef, but rather Pappy sees opportunity in risk, while Bellamy sees risk in opportunities.

I'm surprised Bellyache hasn't tried to play more like Penrith, or at least put way more emphasis on defence. That team will always have points in them when opportunity arises, but where they lost the gf last year was Penrith attacking with their defence, and giving them nothing.
