A lot will depend on ongoing injuries/ suspensions regardless of form - my opinion re Rinikama is based on the rate of improvement and what appears to be a high ceiling of natural talent n speed.

Further injuries / suspensions over the next three to five weeks will put a lot of pressure on depth- i wonder given the release of Amone / Sutton whether the club would be tempted to bring a seasoned fg forward for six month stint - someone who is in their last year at another club and could do a job.
 
Zyon can’t even get the starting spot in Cup with all the outs. Runchel, a nobody from Massey is starting over him

The Ruchel bloke has been playing big minutes in Massey (40-50 min stints) judging by the On/Off info. Clearly has the fitness. Looks like Zyon will be an impact player, like Spencer Leniu and always start on the bench. As can be seen with our NRL side sometimes our best player starts on the bench.

First game up against a couple of ex Bulldogs Seve and Weatherall- Stacey.

Cochrane and Weatherall-Stacey are very similar players i was filthy when Stacey left us.
It should be a good game with Woods getting more match fitness.
 
Surprised and disappointed that we haven’t seen Kawyn Patterson move up to jersey flegg as when we signed him he had huge wraps and I thought was playing pretty well. I guess sg ball has just finished and we could see him later on in the season.

I was pretty disappointed in him actually he wasn't much a stand out in ball.

Yeah thats concerning.. some nobody from park footy starting in Cup over Zyon...
I'm still holding out hope for Zyon, but its been 8 or 9 rounds now and he is still not knocking down the door... Maybe we should have got Stowers-Smith instead off the Wahs

Can’t recall when (maybe a fox sports article) but CC specifically mentioned Zyon as someone they wanted and see potential in.

Shame he hasn’t been a monster to date as he’d be in the mix for a FG debut. Hopefully it’s just adjusting to new systems, getting up to speed, could be niggling injuries we don’t know about. Maybe by end of year or early next he’ll be ready. Issue for Zyon by then is we’ll probably have a heap of proven options ahead of him.

What I mean is that in our set up starting vs bench doesn't really mean much. However Zyon has been getting very little minutes in cup even for an impact forward. I think we will give him another pre-season, but he needs a big big pre-season next year or I think we will be letting him go.
 
Gee Zyon's cup stats are real bad. 30min stint off the bench agaisnt the eels and only made 14 metres? how?
 
4 all after 20. Nice bust down the middle from Patrick Young. Next play Woods with long floating cut out to Afualo who scores in the corner
 
10-4 dogs. Woods took on the line just short. Teaupa takes on the line on the 5th the next play and scores to left of post
 
Fanafou Seve just absolutely monstered through 3 or 4 players from about ten out. Looking huge in comparison, and he was ecstatic. 10-all
