IMHO yep. To me he epitomised what it meant to play for the Bulldogs. Tough, resilient, passionate, never give up attitude. Same qualities he instilled in the Blues.

Known for his attack and chip and chases, it was his defence for me. Seeing footage of him and his cover tackles. In particular his efforts on Eric Grothe…just wow. Although, he was so much smaller than Grothe, he repeatedly knocked him down. What a Bulldog!

I wouldn’t argue with anyone if they had any of those 3 as their greatest ever Bulldog. Mortimer is in my top 3 favourite ever players.
