Wilson not named on NRL.com official updated top30 lists today. Development contracts are available from rd1.

Yup I only just saw that list, my bad.

Montgomery and Samrani in the top 30 currently.

Matalavea-Booth gone.

Sorry, the list on NRL.com doesn’t have Blake Wilson in the top 30 or development. Technically he is on a supplementary contract but as soon as RFM/Topine walk he’ll fill a spot you’d think.

Gus on twitter said Wilson is in the top 30.
Maybe IM-B & SST are waiting in the wings as well???

Matalavea-Booth gone.
Maybe Zac took his spot. Topine and RFM still there, Also BBO so maybe still some movement to come.

Harrison Edwards, Eli Clark and Reece Hoffman we’re all at training today.

Gus said on Twitter Morrin isn't top 30
With Supplementary Players replacing Development Players from 1st November there is no real difference between them and Top 30. The minimum contract values are different, but that’s it. A Supplementary Contract value can be the same as a Top 30 contract value.

Worth keeping in mind that there is no maximum limit on the number of Supplementary Players, just a Salary Cap of $650k. There is a minimum contract value of $80k per annum, but pro rata is allowable.

Realistically there are around 38 NRL contracts available (if every Supplementary player was to get the $80k minimum for the whole year).

So we have plenty of spots left.

Always a Bulldog

I think we will have to wait until the bulldogs announce the top 30 plus supp/development players themselves. Everything else seems speculation or even if official placeholding atm.

Can someone tell me what is going on with harrison edwards? At training but no mention of him in the top 30 or development list?

Have we cooked the books? The state of our contract list as it stands Screams shambles

On Wednesday club announces on the Website:

"The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs are pleased to announce the addition of four dynamic talents to our squad for the 2024 season. After weeks of speculation and anticipation from fans, the Club is delighted to confirm the signings of Drew Hutchison, Kurt Mann, Jake Turpin, and Poasa Faamausili on respective two-year terms.

"Poasa Faamausili is the first to don the Blue and White, kicking off his journey with the Bulldogs as he undergoes induction today. Faamausili joins the Bulldogs from the Dolphins, adding to the Club's much-needed forward power in 2024. The 26-year-old prop boasts 43 matches of NRL experience, having held positions at the Roosters, Warriors, Dragons and Dolphins since making his debut in 2018."

On Friday the NRL via it's official publication releases all the squads Top 30's and Development lists. They match what has been officially released by Dragons, Panthers, Raiders and Cowboys who released their squads prior to the NRL. All clubs had to have 24-30 Top 30 players named by 5.00pm on first Monday in November (6th).

Morrin goes up as Development. Wilson is not showing. I assume someone asked Gould a question on Twitter "Blake Wilson is Top 30. Kurt Morrin is Development. Both train with the top squad, although Blake is currently recovering from shoulder surgery."

So the NRL had the official squad list. Morrin is Development. Morrin would be Top 30 if another club showed serious interest. Hence Wilson is Top 30 as another club wanted him.

Later on Gus makes that long Twitter post about the Top 30 and needing more time. The NRL gives clubs until November. Most clubs stay just short of 30 so they can promote a Development or Train & Trial player to make the 29 they need for Rd1.

Edwards has been stuck on train & trial deal. That's risky as them things as a club with a spare development or top 30 spot can snap him up tomorrow.

People got the news on the signings on squads from two official publications - Bulldogs and NRL.

We have a genius the best in the game running our club. Our club in no position to name a Top 30 after the deadline. The other 16 clubs no issues.

NRL squad tracker updated with Poasa one year development and Wilson one year contract now that it is registered.

Bulldogs website said both two year deals.

The team, or team management relies, far to much on Burton's kicking. It appears that kicking is his only asset.
If he is to be really successful, he needs to rebuild his running game.
I, personally think he is to big to be a half. A 1/2 or 5/8 needs to have good acceleration. Burton does not possess that skill.
The club needs to buy, or develop a half combination to be successful. I believe Taaffe, can develop in a good 5/8.
Sexton is the only real option ATM for 1/2. Mann or Hutchinson may develop into better 1/2's

Key also is Burton. I hope those half-hearted efforts and (seemingly?) disinterested attitude is addressed by CC (and Gus). We all know he can do much better and should be.

100%, he was very very disappointing this year. Last year he was much better so we know he can play better.
