i think Kyle Flanagans best chance for next year is that he lets matt burton and dufty do the creating and he just controls the kicking and stuff a bit like adam reynolds at souths. Thats what i think will be his best shot at being useful

Hopefully we will be close enough in games so that goalkicking does become something that can make a difference. Avo kicks ok but he does have a shank in him. I wonder if Burton goal kicks ??

We were never getting Reynolds mate. Would have had to offer $900k plus at least for him to sign and we cant afford that given the number of middle of edge forwards we need to be competitive next year. We only went for Johnson because of the $450k price tag

I actually really like this side. Definitely would be fighting for a spot in the 8 if they can win a few early games and get some belief in the squad. The players in those centre/wing spots can fight it out. The players who are busting the most tackles, most metres, link breaks get the spots. Healthy competition with Topine in the reserves, I think he will fight his way in eventually.

He hasn't played Jake @1 and doesn't appear to have any intention. Burton wants 6 and will get it so if Averillo doesn't play 7 he is 14 or back to the experiment of centre which is a waste. Rumour has it that JAC will get 1st shot at FB and with Dufty only signed for a year maybe Barrett is thinking of playing him at 9??

Our spine is in trouble for next year. We have no NRL level 7 or 9 in our squad... IMO BBO, JMK and AVO are all solid 14s. Lewis is NSW cup. Burton will have so much pressure on him unless we get a recognised 7 to support him.

It appears we have to many players who can play in the halves.
I believe Wakeham should be the first to go, followed by Flanagan.
That leaves Burton, Averillo and Lewis.
Sezar is not coming, so we should go with that.

I would have thought so but the coach seems to have a couple of issues from were I am looking. Flange and Wakeham appear to be out of the plans @ 7 so unless we sign a Mitchell Pierce or someone else's rejec,t it looks like he will persist with Averillo beside Burton.

We still have Allen (bought as a FB) and supposedly JAC promised a shot there. We bring in Dufty but only sign him for 1 year??? If we were signing him with confidence to fill the 1 spot why risk him being pinched by someone else with such a short contract..? So my question is what are his plans for Dufty?
