It is really dumb. The media chaps are talking it up, great atmosphere etc, but contrary to what the NRL apparently think, the majority of league fans are not in Brisbane. This stupid round ostracises the rest of the sports fanbase for reasons that aren't justifiable. For such a great sport it is woefully run.

Who knows we didn't but Brisbane probably had more cash to throw at him. We needed money for more players than they did. They already had a lot of decent players with nobody to lead them. All they needed was Reynolds. They freed up a lot of cash they were paying Milford. We needed a new squad. Next year hopefully people will be saying "how did Eels let Mahoney go?"

Yeh he goes good. No club had to replace more players than us though, so we couldnt go throwing so much at one player straight away. Burton + Mahoney will cost us less than Reynolds.

For it to work you have to have a decent side before you get the one. They had a good side with an atrocious half in Milford. Hes exactly what they needed. I wish i could say a half is all we needed
