This is pretty close to what I think Pay will go with. Both squads pretty similar, bar 5 or so players we are a club of reserve graders. I think a few of them will surprise us though.

I like the idea of Crickton and CHN on the left side, plenty of muscle there, tackle breaks on offer.
Meaney has to earn his spot with his attitude, training and stepping up when required.
JMK on the bench for his versatility, plus I want to see how the team goes with him in lieu of Lichaa
15 to 17 could be any combination including Tualau, Smith, Sue.
So many options there, the competition for spots is going to be intense.

I really wouldn't be surprised at all if we see Tui Katoa cement a wing spot by the end of the season.

He looked better the Harper until he did his knee in ISP. He has a huge amount of potential.

Elliot definitely improved 2nd half of the year, I just think he might have dropped down the pecking order in the forwards, back rowers that is. I would be rotating Sue with Jackson at lock. Elliot 18th man or Odgen.

Weak squad
On paper if I’m wrong we might scrape into the 8 if I’m right we will battle for the spoon

There’s no way Elliott won’t be in the team he’s in the leadership group and you always hear Pay give him a wrap. Going off Martin being put back into ISP for the finals I wouldn’t be surprised if he starts off there.

No doubt Elliot will be in the 17 unless injuries. I just think all our locks/back rowers in RFM, CHN, Sue, Jackson, Martin offers a bit more than Elliot. I’m happy with how Elliot finished the year but he always does that. Starts horribly then finishes strong. This team is more of me just doing what I think, I know it will be different.

What ............... he wasn't "put back", he ran on for a few seconds to qualify for the finals. Then played in the finals with the guys he played with earlier in the year. Team spirit on display.

Maybe but they didn’t put Lewis and Smith back when they could have too.
