Why is it that the most "heard of" Australian male tennis players are all complete wankers at the moment?

Tomic (ATP ranked 88) and Kyrgios (ATP ranked 52) and way off the pace compared to other Australian male tennis talent, that nobody much is talking about.

Alex De Minaur - ATP ranked 29 (through to 2nd Round and facing Henri Laaksonen).
John Millman - ATP ranked 37 (through to 2nd Round - currently playing Bautista Agut (seeded 22)).
Matthew Ebden - ATP ranked 48 (through to 2nd Round and facing Rafael Nadal).
Jordan Thompson - ATP ranked 72 (knocked out in 2nd Round by Seppi)

Tomic - ATP ranked 88 (knocked out in 1st Round by Cilic).
Kyrgios - ATP ranked 52 (knocked out in 1st Round by Raonic).

@Wahesh ... Camilla Giorgi is still in, but Lauren Davis eliminated during qualifying singles.

The bad ones make the headlines and sell the newspapers mate. Although I did think that Nick K's response to the media conference was hella funny yesterday - "Is there an echo in here?" :tearsofjoy::tearsofjoy::tearsofjoy:

Neither of them will ever win a major though!

Pretty much what @Wahesh said above, those two wankers produce the drama that the media just lap up. Kyrgios is the biggest disappointment, he has the talent to be in top handful of players but instead chooses to carry on a like spoiled little brat, as soon as the chips are down he just gives up, no fighting spirit, no commitment, just an embarrassment to himself.

Good work by Bolt and Popyrin. Bolt save about 4 match points in the 4th set. Great work. Down to the business end now so it'll only get harder for them, but a good learning curve!
