Yeh, like all the people who've commented on this thread. League is losing junior players by the 1000s each year, so instead of using the NRL millions to encourage dare I say males to play, the NRL take the Nero/Ray Dib approach, and let it die. Oh well, we can watch the chicks play.

There are plenty of factors why juniors are quitting rugby league each year. A few that stand out include - poor behaviour from parents on the sidelines, aggressive coaching, injury, and a greater choice of other sports to play.

    Women To Make History
History will be made this Thursday night when the New South Wales Rugby League’s Tarsha Gale Cup under-18s women’s competition hits the hallowed turf of ANZ Stadium.

The match marks the first time a female Rugby League match has been held at Sydney's Olympic stadium, with the Bulldogs to meet Sydney Indigenous at 6:30pm in Round 8 of the inaugural Tarsha Gale Cup.

Dogs destroyed Sydney Indig Academy 50-8 this week.

    Kerri PUTAHI x 2
    Page MCGREGOR x 2
    Grace LI x 2
    and many more

Leading the comp and Page is top Try scorer (11) and Top point scorer!

That said ... this is her..

Worst defence I've ever seen in a game.

    Grand Final Fixture
    Canterbury Bulldogs v Penrith Panthers
    Leichhardt Oval, Saturday 6 May
    12:45pm

Following that game will be the Tarsha Gale Cup Grand Final at 12:45pm, which will see the Canterbury Bulldogs take on the Penrith Panthers.

An absolute thriller at Southern Cross Group Stadium saw the Canterbury Bulldogs come from behind to advance into the first ever Tarsha Gale Cup Grand Final.

Aaliyah Fasavalu-Fa’amausili scored a hat-trick for the Bulldogs, with prolific try-scorer Page McGregor unable to line up in the vital clash.

The massive omission did not prove to be fatal for the Bulldogs, who turned it on in the dying moments of the match to record a 32-28 win and book a spot in the 2017 Grand Final.

A few hours later at the same ground, the Panthers continued their brilliant run of form to defeat the Illawarra Steelers, once again led by fullback Cassie Ormsby.

The first tackle of the game saw Ormsby absolutely crunch Lilly-Rose Bennett into touch, and she followed that effort with two important tries.

The Steelers took the Panthers all the way to the buzzer, but a try in the dying second would not be enough.
