HT on FOX v Titans
14-8 Titans way
Dog win 28-20
I only watched the last 10 minutes but obviously the crazy midget was fighting again lol.
His name is montoya - is he related to Marcelo?
Na it's Tramontana, not sure if that's the correct spelling though.
Was a good fight back. Doggies only hit the lead with 10 to go after being down 10 nil after 5 mins. Didnt touch the ball for the first 7 minutes and copping a sin bin in the 14th minute.
The side will finish 14th.
Expecting a massive turnover in this group. Especially with the state based comp next year. Can anyone clarify what it is yet?
NRL (Bulldogs) > NSW Cup (Bulldogs) > State based U23 (Auburn/Moorebank)???
Given The NRL only knew the salary cap a fortnight ago, we'll probably know in a week before the comp starts next year.
Strickland and Keighran scoring - nice.
Doolan looks handy also, I love it when I see a half that can throw a left>right spiral that hits an outside back on the chest.
Wouldn't it still be a state based U20 competition?
Based on NYC Stats.
Adam Keighran, Jayden Okunbor, Kiko Manu, Jack Gibbons, Cameron Scott, Michael Doolan, Jayden El-Jalkh, Luis Strickland, Joey Tramontana, Ben Cassell, Thomas Harvey, Ofa Finau, Elie El-Zakhem, Cameron Torpy, Lopeti Mafi, Hayden Ashcroft, Peni Misinale
Kieran Hayman, Morgan Harper, Alvin Maungaati, Dalton Smith, Giordan Patea, Reuben Taylor, Jack Gordon, Spike Teio, James Clark, Fili Havea, Shane Fuataga, Kayne Kalache, Sam Radovu
Tui Katoa, Blake Clayton, Brandon Wakeham, Pule Sua, Lachlan Talau, Zac Hetherington
Brandon Boumelhem, Corey Matthews
Fix any mistakes.
From what I've seen it will be
NSW Cup U20
So Dogs still have a 'Bulldogs' U20 team but a team like Souths will have first grade then North Sydney as their feeder and North Sydney will have an U20 side that is financially supported by the NSWRL and not the NRL.
Thanks. I just heard the commentators say it like Montoya and assumed.....Anyway the kid looks like he can play a bit.
They were calling Tramontoya because they are dumb
Yeah I thought they were saying Trey Montoya and given we already have Marcel it was a reasonable mistake to make - well that's my excuse. That and being old...
Two changes to side named on Tuesday with Corey Matthews replacing Alvin Maungaati at centre, and Zac Hetherington added to the bench for a possible debut.
Dragons 34 drew with Bulldogs 34 (Joseph Tramontana 2, Zac Hetherington 2, Michael Doolan 2 tries; Adam Keighran 5 goals)
Well done to finish the year on a high against a much superior side.
To all the players departing the Bulldogs system, I wish you all the best in your future endeavours.
I'll try to keep this thread updated with who's staying, going, incoming etc.
Once we actually have an idea about how the set up is next year it will be easier.
No Bulldogs made the NYC Team of the Year.
Hazem El Masri Bulldogs 2017 NYC Player of the Year Award - James Clark
A tough lock forward who is in his first year with the Bulldogs NYC side. A graduate of the club’s SG Ball team, he played in 20 matches this year averaging 28 tackles per game.
