The Telegraph doesn't have the whole list of prices, it's just a sneak peak on certain players.

NRL SuperCoach 2016 player prices and positions: Winners and losers revealed

NRL SuperCoach 2016 opens in exactly two weeks from today!

Yep, jot down January 29 for the launch of Australia’s biggest NRL fantasy game.

Note: the site will go live at midnight, meaning hardcore players can wait up late on the 28th to get first access.

To celebrate the impending launch, we today reveal key player prices for 2016.

And for the first time, we’ll also be revealing every price for every player over the next few days.

Stay tuned.

WINNERS

Sam Burgess

Price: $423,700

Position(s): Back row, front row

The English international ended his last season of NRL SuperCoach as the best player in the comp. It may therefore be expected that he start as the most expensive player in 2016. However, following a year out in rugby union, he starts as the ninth most expensive player. The following players all cost more: Semi Radradra ($512,900), Paul Gallen ($499,500), Roger Tuivasa Sheck ($489,500), Johnathan Thurston ($486,900), Corey Parker ($481,800), James Tedesco ($469,500), Andrew Fifita ($464,000) and Shaun Johnson ($445,800).

Tohu Harris

Price: $383,600

Position(s): Back row, centre/wing

The Melbourne back rower is set to be the most popular centre/wing in SuperCoach after scoring dual position status.

Ben Henry

Price: $133,300

Position(s): Back row, centre/wing

Starts at a cheapie price following a horror season that saw him notch an average of just 19.5, before rupturing his ACL for the second time. However, the NZRL’s Rookie of the Year for 2012 has been a $250,000 player in the past. Recent injuries are a massive issue, but surely the only way is up.

Ashley Taylor

Price: $133,300

Position(s): Halfback, five-eighth

The Titans recruit has avoided a price penalty, despite an injury-induced 12 on debut for the Broncos. He therefore starts at a cheapie price and is set to emerge as the most popular player in SuperCoach following a season-ending injury to Kane Elgey, which all but guarantees Taylor a halves spot for round one.

Jackson Hastings

Price: $133,300

Position(s): Halfback, five-eighth

The boom youngster is the only player who could rival Ashley Taylor as the most popular player in the game. Hastings will take over from James Maloney as Roosters five-eighth — where he averaged 41 in five games last year when filling in for Mitchell Pearce. However, Hastings starts at bottom dollar due to a season average of just 18.57 — down due to stints as bench hooker.

Josh Mansour

Price: $338,800

Position(s): Centre/wing

The former Kangaroo starts at just $338,000 following an injury-ravaged season — a bargain given he was the best centre/wing in SuperCoach 2014. Mansour is the only winger who can go close to Roger Tuivasa-Sheck in base stats.

Michael Gordon

Price: $285,900

Position(s): Fullback, centre/wing

Gordon’s price is based on an interrupted season in which he switched between wing, fullback and bench at the Sharks for an average of 45. Now at the Eels, he is set to play solely in his favoured No. 1 jersey, where he has been a SuperCoach keeper in the past. He averaged 57 in each of the two preceding seasons.

LOSERS

Semi Radradra

Price: $512,900

Position(s): Centre/wing

The Fijian flyer is the most expensive player in SuperCoach due to finishing 2015 with the highest average. He is therefore a big no-no for round one. That said, the Eels possess the best draw in the comp for the byes, making Radradra essential over the Origin period — hopefully after a price drop.

Roger Tuivasa-Sheck

Price: $489,500

Position(s): Fullback

The man who scored the most points in SuperCoach 2015 has been stripped of dual position status and is only available at fullback. With James Tedesco and Greg Inglis also only at No. 1, SuperCoaches have some serious decisions to make in what is the most stacked position in the game.

Cameron Munster

Price: $391,300

Position(s): Centre/wing, fullback

Tuivasa-Sheck’s fullback switch means Cameron Munster starts 2016 with the second-highest price of any centre/wing (behind only Radradra). However, with Billy Slater fit and firing, Munster is expected to move to centre, which will dramatically reduce his involvement.

Anthony Milford

Price: $408,900

Position(s): Five-eighth

The Brisbane playmaker was a revelation at the back end of last year, averaging 80 in the last five weeks and 75 from round eight onwards. However, he will be slightly less adaptable this year after relinquishing dual position status (only available at five-eighth).

Sia Soliola

Position(s): Back row

Price: $367,700

The Canberra hit-man was the most popular centre/wing in SuperCoach for most of last year as he banged out 80 minutes in the back row. However, he is not an option for 2016 because he starts expensive following a strong year and is no longer dual position.

Shaun Johnson

Price: $445,800

Position(s): Halfback

The second best playmaker in SuperCoach last year (behind only the mercurial Johnathan Thurston), has been stripped of five-eighth status and is only available at halfback. May start slowly following a serious ankle injury. Avoid first up.

SuperCoach 2016: Each NRL club’s top rookies named ahead of season launch

AHEAD of the much-anticipated launch of NRL SuperCoach for 2016, we take a look at the rookies at each club on the verge of breaking into the big time.

All good SuperCoaches know that Corey Parker, Paul Gallen, Roger Tuivasa-Sheck and co will be the ones to lead their teams to glory.

But the great SuperCoaches are the ones who know which rookies to stash away early on to use as cash cows — so that Parker, Gallen and RTS can all be bought.

Here we look at a player from each club to keep an eye on heading into the 2016 NRL season.

Cowboys: Braden Uele

A damaging front rower in the mould of Andrew Fifita, New Zealand-born Uele has been a standout in the Cowboys Under 20s side in recent years. At 191cm and 112kg, the Glenora Bears junior will push for a spot on the bench and will likely see his NRL debut sooner rather than later. Could be a solid option for the Origin hit rounds.

Broncos: Jai Arrow

As impossible as it may seem, one day Corey Parker will retire. One the day that the SuperCoach God ascends into SuperCoach Heaven or is called back to his own timeline or returns to his home planet or whatever ends up happening, the Broncos have themselves a very capable replacement in Jai Arrow. He led the under-20s in hit-ups last season and had the highest average metres per game in the competition with 157. He was also second in the competition for offloads with 50. While Arrow won’t see big minutes this season, if he gets into Brisbane’s top XVII at any stage he’d be a sneaky little pick-up.

Titans: Brian Kelly

The Gold Coast have struggled to convert promising juniors into NRL stars of late but they’ll have their best chance in some time with Ballina junior Brian Kelly. The cousin of former Titan Albert Kelly and Rabbitohs star Greg Inglis, Kelly can play all three outside back positions but is best suited to the wing, where his work rate and speed made him a standout in the Titans’ struggling under-20s side last season. The 2015 NSW under-20s player of the year after snagging four tries against Queensland, Kelly is still eligible for the Holden Cup for another season but is a serious chance to score a regular spot in first grade.

Knights: The Saifiti brothers

The towering Saifiti twins, Daniel and Jacob, are two of the best young forwards to come out of the Hunter in some time. Blockbusting runners who love an offload, the Fijian duo could play significant minutes in first grade due to the lack of depth the Knights enjoy in the forwards. Jacob is probably the closer to first grade of the two after showing some real flashes of potential in the Knights’ NSW Cup premiership victory last season.

Sea Eagles: Liam Knight

The towering Knight was the best player in Manly’s under-20s side last season not named Trbojevic and was an unsung hero in the Sea Eagles’ run to the grand final last season. Big and mobile but deceptively light on his feet, Knight was third in the competition for carries and fifth for offloads last year and should push for a spot off the Manly bench despite the Sea Eagles’ newly-found forward depth.

Roosters: Latrell Mitchell

You’ve probably already heard a lot about Mitchell, the willowy fullback from Taree who’s been compared to Greg Inglis, but he’s a genuine SuperCoach option should he get a chance on the wing for the Chooks. While he’s not the physical specimen Inglis was at the same age, Mitchell has still been a strong performer in the Holden Cup and had the second-most tackle breaks in the league last season. Given the Roosters’ star-studded backline he’ll have his work cut out for him, but Mitchell could be a good one to pick up around Origin time.

South Sydney: Angus Crichton

There’s some big wraps on Crichton with the former schoolboy rugby star turning some heads in an injury-interrupted Holden Cup campaign with the Rabbitohs last season. Equally comfortable in the centres and the second row, Crichton could steal a spot on the Rabbitohs bench due to his utility value. Rangy and quick for his size, Crichton is still a work in progress but once he settles on a single position he should rise up the ranks very quickly.

Parramatta: Bevan French

French was chased by plenty of NRL clubs but the will-of-the-wisp fullback from Tingha chose the Eels and is viewed by many at the club as their long-term option for fullback. Quick as anything and blessed with a gift for breaking tackles, French will likely bide his time behind Michael Gordon this season before assuming the role fulltime in 2017 but will likely be in line for his first grade debut at some point during the season.

Panthers: Te Maire Martin

A two-time member of the Holden Cup team of the year, Junior Kiwis captain Martin has joined the Panthers this season from the Tigers. One of the best up-and-coming ballplayers in rugby league, Martin’s sleight of hand and poise is truly impressive for a player of his age. While there are still some rough edges on his game and his defence needs work, Martin could be a candidate for the Panthers halves should injury strike or if Anthony Griffin decides to move on from Peter Wallace or Jamie Soward.

Dragons: Taane Milne

A former rugby union star and a two-time member of the Junior Kiwis, Taane Milne has the size and athleticism to make a serious impact at NRL level. The Dragons’ newly-minted backline depth may restrict his opportunities, but the Clovelly junior will be next cab off the rank should some misfortune befall any of the Red V’s outside backs. Capable of playing both wing and centre, Milne scored eight tries in 12 matches in an injury-interrupted season for the Roosters under-20s side last season.

Sharks: Josh Cleeland

At 24, Cleeland is the sole player on this list who hasn’t come directly from the under-20s but the classy five-eighth could steal the show in the Shire. One of the linchpins of the Ipswich Jets’ run to the State Championship last season, Cleeland will begin the season as an understudy for James Maloney and Chad Townsend but will have his sights set on snagging a first grade spot sooner rather than later. Wonderfully instinctive and a gifted attacking footballer, Cleeland could be one of the real surprise packets of 2016.

Bulldogs: Adam Elliot

Elliot, a former Australian Schoolboys representative, was one of the Bulldogs’ best in the NSW Cup last season and made the transition from under-20s with relative ease. Equally capable of playing second row and prop, Elliot has a tremendous work rate and a real mean streak — he’s not afraid to throw his weight around. The Bega product has been in the Bulldogs system for several seasons and was named in the Auckland Nines squad last year. He’s a near certainty to get a go off the bench at some stage this season.

Raiders: Tevita Pangai Junior

If you don’t already know the name Tevita Pangai Junior, you soon will. A brute of a front-rower, Pangai Junior led the under-20s in offloads last season and is one of the better forward prospects to come through the national capital in some time. He’ll be a popular pick due to his price, but he’s something of a must-have if he can get some game time in Canberra.

Storm: Dean Britt

Injuries wiped out much of 2015 but Camden junior Dean Britt is all quality. A former skipper of the Storm’s under-20s side and a regular in the NSW underage squads, Britt is the kind of mobile, skilful secondrower who excels in the Melbourne system. A place on the Melbourne bench is not outside the realms of possibility for Britt and the son of former Bulldogs captain Darren will be a smart purchase should he see some first grade time.

Warriors: Bunty Afoa

You’re not going to believe this, but the Warriors have unearthed another excellent front row prospect in Bunty Afoa. A powerful runner who has some serious pepper in defence, Afoa is a product of famed Auckland rugby league nursery St Paul’s College and certainly has the ability to make a difference at NRL level. Afoa still has a year of under-20s eligibility at his disposal but it wouldn’t be any great shock if he forces his way into the Warriors first grade squad before the year is out.

Tigers: Watson Heleta

A standout in the Tigers under-20s over the past few seasons, the powerful and dynamic Heleta has drawn comparisons with Konrad Hurrell for his bustling running style. He’s represented the Junior Kiwis on several occasions and will push for a spot in the centres for the Tigers. The latest of a series of Keebra Park High products to join the club, Heleta scored 29 tries in 33 matches for the Tigers under-20s, including an impressive 21 in 21 matches in 2014.

NRL SuperCoach 2016: Player prices and positions for Roosters, Rabbitohs, Warriors, Eels, Sharks, Panthers, Tigers and Dragons

ARE you ready, SuperCoaches? Here’s the second dose of NRL prices and positions.
The launch of NRL SuperCoach is almost upon us and to help prepare, we are revealing the 2016 prices for every player in the game.

On Monday we announced all the prices for players at the Brisbane Broncos, Canterbury Bulldogs, Canberra Raiders, Gold Coast Titans, Melbourne Storm, Manly Sea Eagles, Newcastle Knights and North Queensland Cowboys.

Now we complete the picture with part two of “What price is SuperCoach Glory”, listing prices for all players and positions at the Sydney Roosters, South Sydney Rabbitohs, New Zealand Warriors, Parramatta Eels, Cronulla Sharks, Penrith Panthers, Wests Tigers and St George Illawarra Dragons.

NRL SuperCoach, Australia’s largest NRL fantasy game, will launch on January 29.

Start planning your team now. The SuperCoach Salary Cap is $6.5 million!

NRL SuperCoach 2016: Past winner Dave Von Kotze reveals top 10 point of difference players

GETTING off to a flying start in the SuperCoach season is an absolute must for those looking to put themselves in a position to take the Holy Grail.

When formulating a starting team strategy, a tried-and-tested approach is to load your team with as many cows (usually rookie players who will make cash) and guns (top players who will bring in the big scores) as possible.

However, with 118,511 other SuperCoaches shooting for glory, it becomes necessary to spend the remainder of your starting salary cap on “point of difference” players who are going to not only increase in value, but more importantly score valuable points that will see you soar up the leaderboard.

Point of difference players are commonly referred to in SuperCoach world as “PODS”, and according to the “Sangster New World SuperCoach Dictionary”, the definition of a POD is a player who is owned by under 20 per cent of SuperCoaches.

A cunningly concocted POD plan can be the difference between finishing in the top 50 or the top 5000. Last year’s overall joint winner Mary Konstantopoulos started the season with Roger Tuivasa-Sheck (13.6 per cent ownership) and Tohu Harris (4.7 per cent).

After round five, Harris was averaging 70 points per game and had increased in value by a massive $134,600, while Tuivasa-Sheck finished the year as the highest scoring SuperCoach player and increased in value by an incredible $212,000.

It is also important to mention for those joining us for the first time in 2016 that there isn’t a SuperCoach alive who doesn’t have a story or two of a POD who crashed and burned and cost them big time, so be sure to do your research and choose wisely.

Obviously at this point of the year we are unable to tell what percentage ownership any of the players will have, but what we can look at is how some players may benefit as a result of player movement during the off-season.

Let’s have a sneaky peak at a few POD options who could see you fly out of the barriers this year.

1. Mike Cooper (2RF, FRF) $337,300 and/or Jack De Belin (2RF, FRF) $355,300

With Trent Merrin making the move to Penrith this year, these two shape as worthy candidates to replace the NSW forward. Englishman Mike Cooper looks set to start at lock and with a PPM of 0.96, could see a handy increase in value. Jack De Belin is a smoky who could also step up and deliver for potential owners. De Belin played most of his footy off the bench last year and usually this puts a player in the no-go zone. However, in the five games Merrin missed last season due to injury and Origin duty, JDB averaged 56 points per game. Include this with the fact he scored at a very efficient 0.98 points per minute and De Belin becomes one to consider, especially if he is the beneficiary of extra minutes due to the new interchange rule. Keep an eye on the Charity Shield.

2. Valentine Holmes (FLB, CTW) $291,400

Valentine Holmes will get a shot to make the fullback position his own at The Shire this year as a result of Michael Gordon taking up new digs with the Parramatta Eels. Holmes lit up the park with natural talent last season, scoring sixteen tries (including four doubles). He retains dual FLB/CTW status, making him someone to consider in a Sharkies team that look the goods. A huge asterisk sits beside Holmes’ name if Jack Bird starts the season at fullback.

3. Trent Hodkinson (HFB) $293,200

Trent Hodkinson will spearhead the attack for the Newcastle Knights this year. Despite being the Blues halfback for the past two years, Hodkinson has never really been SuperCoach relevant, however, word on the street in Novocastrian territory is that Hodkinson will not be restricted to one side and will have a ticket to roam. This means he should have his hands on the ball more frequently, which could lead to a higher output of attacking stats. Throw in the fact he is one of the most accurate goal kickers in the competition and you may have yourself a POD.

4. Manu Ma’u (2RF) $341,700

Parramatta has landed a dream run from a SuperCoach perspective through the Origin period, with the Eels playing all three major bye rounds. Eels players who cut the mustard will be like gold through this time and Manu Ma’u could be a set and forget POD who will keep scores ticking over and provide cover for this all important part of the SuperCoach year. Ma’u is expected to remain as a big-minute player on the left edge and if new recruit Kieran Foran also plays on the left, as he usually did for Manly, Ma’u may reap the rewards of having an international ballplayer inside him.

5. Agnatius Paasi (FRF, 2RF) $244,100

Agnatius Paasi is set to be one of the main benefactors from the departures of Nate Myles and Dave Taylor from Titans camp. Reports from north of the border suggest Paasi will spend big minutes on an edge. If these reports are correct, he will make some much needed early season cash if he maintains his season average of 0.80 PPM. SuperCoaches may also like to know that when Myles missed the last two matches of the 2015 season due to injury, Paasi played 80 minutes and finished the year with a three-game average of 68 points.

6. Chris Grevsmuhl (FRF, 2RF) $235,800

Chris Grevsmuhl was one of the cheapies of the year in 2015, but the South Sydney backrower will start this season as a tasty POD. Glenn Stewart and Chris McQueen have both left Redfern, meaning Grevsmuhl could see more game time than his 38 minute average last season. Throw in a lovely 0.98 PPM and the dollar signs could be rolling for Grevsmuhl and his future owners.

7. Konrad Hurrell (CTW) $266,600

Konrad Hurrell optimises the saying “no risk, no reward”. On one hand, Hurrell is training the house down in pre-season, has extended his contract until the end of 2018 and is one of the most potent attacking weapons in the CTW position when in-form. On the other, he spent a fair bit of time in reserve grade during the back end of last season while in the bad books of Warriors coach Andrew McFadden. If selected, Hurrell will be a bargain buy after playing off the bench in his last three NRL appearances.

8. Jamie Lyon (CTW) $348,100

Jamie Lyon spent plenty of time in the rehab group last season, but the former gun hit some serious form in the back half of the year, notching three tons and averaging 75 points a game in his last eight appearances for the Sea Eagles. Lyon’s starting price of $348,100 is based on his season average of 55 and if the new halves pairing for Manly fires in 2016, the goalkicking skipper could return to gun status.

9. Jake Trbojevic (FRF) $310,700

Jake Trbojevic stormed onto the scene last year and many SuperCoaches highlighted his name as a genuine starter in their teams for 2016. There are various theories as to which players will benefit from the new interchange rule, but looking at the back end of JTurbo’s 2015 season, the Manly prop could be brilliant value at $310,700. In his last three games Trbojevic averaged 57 minutes and 56.33 points per game at a rate of 0.98 points per minute.

10. Robbie Rochow (2RF) $282,300

Robbie Rochow is a left-field POD option who may come into contention for the opening five rounds. Newcastle’s forward pack has lost a bit of sting this year with Beau Scott now wearing Parramatta colours and Tariq Sims spending the first five weeks in the naughty corner for a shoulder charge in the final game of last season. Rochow has had a horror run of injuries but scored at a rate of 0.88 points per minute last season, meaning if he gets the nod to start the year, $282,300 may be too hard to pass up.
