New Zealand named their side for their first game, and their starting back row is Pritchard in 11, SBW in 12 and Mannering in 13. Their front row is JWH is in 8 and Bromwich in 10, with Luke in 9. Their bench has Elijah Taylor, Sam Kasiano, Sam Moa, Frank-Paul Nu'uausala, Greg Eastwood and Ben Matulino, two of whom will be omitted on game day. This forward pack trumps Australia's easily.

They got Hoffman in 1, RTS in 2, Whare and Goodwin in 3 and 4 respectively, Vatuvei at 5, Foran at 6 and Johnson at 7. This backline isn't as good as Australia's, but it's pretty damn good. I'd say it's gonna be a close world cup. Inu was omitted in favour of Goodwin, but "Krisnan will get another opportunity shortly," according to Kearney. No backs on the bench for NZ.
