Hi all. Recently picked up a 2000 canterbury bulldogs jersey of a friend of mine. He said it could possibly be a game worn as he got it with a bunch of other game worn jersey’s. So I’m trying to do some research and find out if it is actually a game worn jersey or not!

Now I was pretty young in the year 2000 and don’t remember too much. I tried doing some research on it but couldn’t find too much either. But the jersey has a yellow number on the back. Now I’m unsure whether the dogs ever wore yellow numbers on the back of a jersey. The other noticeable feature is the cenovis sleeve sponsers have a sewn on patch indenticle to the sub laminated sleeve sponser underneath. The patch is sewn on and just slightly larger.

Any information or knowledge is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I can't recall ever using yellow numbers.

In 2000, we used The Sports Factory in Fairfield for our numbering.

Hmmm. I seem to remember a one-off game with those yellow numbers but I can't be sure.

Rabs would have had real trouble calling those numbers.

I’d say with 100% certainty we never played a NRL game with yellow numbers. It could have been used in a trial or something but never NRL.

Never seen yellow numbers either, the size/thickness of the number doesn't look right.

Don't recall yellow numbers either
#3
Centre
Darren Smith, maybe
Glen Hughes, unlikely mostly played 5/8
Willie Talau, possibly

That jumper doesn't look quite big enough for Darren or Willie, but it is an XL, so maybe.

Guys didn’t we play a match against cowboys or Penrith in 2000 with yellow numbers for that one game

Don’t know why but for some reason I keep thinking of the cowboys game in 2000

Was only 10 then but for some reason stuck to my mind
