So stupid to even explore this when there are so many other rules that need to be fixed

Just what we need; another rule change. The officials are deadset struggling to officiate to the rules we already have. Are they still going to have the 40/20 rule?The game will become a massive kick a thon and become a lot closer to Rugby Union. AND the scrums are already diabolical so yeah let's have MORE of them. Leave the game alone, in fact get rid of some of the changes made over the last decade so we can have our game back.

Honestly the ineptness of the games caretakers is mind boggling. It seems that they pick and choose their fights to suit and of late the only things that they want to do are change the rules. EVERY year like clockwork we see another you beaut idea floated for a rule change that will " better the game" .Leave it alone you muppets and concentrate on getting the best out of the game on and off the filed and by that I don't mean change the rules like you change your undies....

the nrl integrity unit has investigated the matter and they certified the nrl hq to be drug free

so no further investigation needed

Against the grain.. good idea. Will be a high risk play to help teams trapped in their half.

Pull it off and it's a huge momentum shift. Stuff it up and you hand the ball back.

What they should really change is the penalty for certain infringements.

Like if you kick it out on the full off a kick off, why do get a penalty and get to kick for touch? Just hand them the ball from the 50 with no kick for touch. It's too excessive a penalty as it is.

If you miss a penalty goal, why are you rewarded by getting the ball back? You missed so you lost your advantage surely...

If it's an incorrect play the ball, it should just be a handover, not a penalty.

There are many more simple rule tweaks like this that would fix many issues.

I don't like it. If a team can't manage to make 20m in a set why should they get a chance at a potential get out of jail free card plus benefits.

Also might encourage fullbacks to employ a kick as a kick return, which is shit.

I think it wouldnt be so bad. Its a high risk play so wld rarely be used but would def favour losing teams that are being dominated by defence at the end of a game. Its an extra tool for them when they shouldnt by all rights have any other options.

The 20/40 wld become like a 'hail mary play' in the final minute. Wld hate to lose that way but would add extra excitement for the vieeing audience.

I reckon we should wait 1 or 2 seasons and fix up current bunker issues first.
