Now he has delivered another classic as he spoke almost a week after collecting his first-ever premiership ring, even if it meant having his time on air cut short after letting out an expletive.
Cooper Johns was speaking to his father and Fox League expert Matthew Johns on his new show Morning Glory on 1170 SEN.

Smith was supposed to be the guest on the other end of the line but Cooper filled in when the cheeky Kiwi had not shown up.
“Me and Brandon [sic] drove down to Byron and met up with, well basically the whole team jumped on board and we’ve got 15 of us down here now,” he said.
    “It’s pretty good. It’s a good time.”

Eventually Smith showed up to Johns’ surprise and still clearly not slowing down his celebrations after the grand-final victory, he repeated the same three words.
“You wouldn’t believe it,” Cooper said.
“He’s literally just walked through the door. Cheese, you’re on the radio live.”

“Never been better,” Smith replied with a laugh.
Fox League’s James Hooper wrote a column in the lead-up to the decider with 25 reasons why Sydneysiders can’t stand the Storm and Smith made sure to take a shot at Hoops in the aftermath of the decider.
“Number 26 Hoops yah little baldy hahahahahahhaah,” he wrote on social media alongside an image of himself with his premiership ring.
Hooper was in studio alongside Johns.
“Hey Hoops, how are you going mate,” Smith asked.
“I’m good, how are you?” Hooper replied.

“Never been better like I said,” Smith said again.
He then continued on but had to be cut from the line after a few expletives slipped out.
“We had to dump Brandon,” Matty explained.
“He said something starts with an f ends with a k.”
