Origin has traditionally been a selection trial for the national team. It has risen to the heights it has without international players. Not sure why we have to change a great product and weaken our national team because greedy international players want more money

Just thinking out loud.. Not my preference as I would prefer that State of Origin is held over a stand alone month with maybe Allstar games or Pacific internationals like Tonga/Samoa/NZ/PNG are played or maybe even play some NSW Cup games on as a replacment for NRL for the Month. But Samoas success and that previously for Tonga has shown that playing at the highest level e.g S.O.O is helping other nations to give us real competition. That cant be a bad thing.

Ideally they play Polynesian internationals during the origin period. Gives them a chance to play more international games. But it would derail to nrl season to a degree.
With the nrl now having more Polynesian players than not, the majority being from Tonga and Samoa they can't retain a tier 2 rating much longer,so they can have the best of both worlds.

Fitler is a fkn clown and a fkn liar. Fox didnt get picked because he was scared of the height of Xavier Coates. So he weakened a strength to put a tall winger. It was always a negative move from a shit coach. The players that the Blues have we should be in the middle of a dynasty. Those 2 series losses were both the result of poor coaching. Lucky for us that davey's super reliable mail of Fitler being our coach was not true ..the bullshit narrative about fox not playing well is garbage too. He was playing well - the dogs werent playing well and he was outside centre who doesn't know how to pass.

Funny thing is Xavier Coates played all 3 games in the 2021 series & NSW won with JAC on the wing & playing great.

Even if Fox was just returning from a broken leg in May; he should have been the first picked for NSW for all that he brings into the camp, the enthusiasm and team bonding and execution turning half chances into attacking yardage or tries.. Any fan knows he can be relied on, on the big stage, to deliver. Fittler couldn't work that out. Really a travesty that Tupou picked over JAC ...and everyone knew Meninga would pick him for WC. Silly Freddy.

True his form wasn't to his usual standard early on with his new team but any league follower knows the couple of reasons why, as others have explained above and they are all very real explanations. Everyone, but everyone, knew that once sorted, that JAC's class would come to the fore.

Fittler showed all the worst facets of poor coaching by picking favs from his old favoured team who could not offer the x factor needed for SOO ...poor coaching traits all encapsulated in that one selection.

First picked if he was a Qlder! and so foolish that he wasn't for NSW

All Fittler's decision has done is enhance Fox's reputation, and his performances, into the stratosphere where he is now the league poster boy and Fittler?...the dud coach.

Fittler is NSW's "Claytons" coach.
