2 months, far out!!
What did he do? Did he post porn videos or something?
20 previous warnings. Each time you get banned for the same thing the ban period CAN be doubled.

So to go from:
24 hours
48 hours
1 week
2 weeks
1 month
2 months
+ countless warnings

Gives you an indication how fair we've been up until now with things.

When he returns in 2 months time we'll be into the season and we'll be able to see if his comments were justified or not.

I fully support action having been taken — and it adds to the comedy of the place — but 2 months does feel like a bit of a prison sentence. A week is probably long enough for him to cool off and collect himself, until he gets Sin Binned again.

He said this in reply to Phalangist making quite a reasonable argument:

“Turn it up, nothing but fucking low quality dribble... Any mention of structure has you ***** flipping out with your "Hur durr desball" garbage. What a fucking weak, stupid argument. Typical Kennel trash.”

I’m sure if he didn’t lash out like this he wouldn’t be in the Sin Bin.
For me I don't consider that abusive.

I'll concede that the way he shits on peoples opinions isn't the best.

I think I used to be like him when I first come on here, I can't remember , either way i changed the way I posted because I felt I was coming off as a douche bag lol.

Anyway........ up the doggies !!!!!!!!!

Grounds for appeal, generally not (or generally not required). Users can technically make a moderation complaint and that will then get passed up the chain to Site Administrators (financial owners/backers, and coders/server owners), but most often trust is put in moderators to make the right call. These days most actions against a user are taken in consultancy with several site moderators in agreeance.

With that said:
On shorter bans you are "Sin Binned", which means you can still PM, you just can't post in threads.
On longer bans though, you are "Sin Binned" as well as "Banned", meaning you have no forum access at all and can only view as a guest.

We also have the ability to Lifetime Ban with / without appeal.

Moderators have held several conversations over the past 6 months about Nab Fabs approach towards posting and despite warnings and previous bans it fell on deaf ears. You can only warn someone so much before action needs to be taken.

His manner of posting is that someone offers an opinion. That opinion differs so he'll argue and disrupt a thread, forcing his opinion on others. When a disagreeance in opinion continues, he then becomes abusive at fellow users. That then develops into a flamewar/shitfight, and mods then need to spend lengthy periods cleaning up (or reconstructing) a thread. Then there's beating a dead horse (no offence @Horse) with the same comment all the time (anti Foran, anti Pay). In the 2018 season it was anti another player. Before that it was anti another player.

It gets tiresome. If you hate the players and hate the club so much, why are you even here!?!

He needs to accept others opinions (we've told him that before), and not to aggressively react to differences of opinion.
Oh no need to explain what he does... LOL.

Rules are rules I guess, I'm just thinking about the entertainment behind forums and the well being of those who need them in their life.

To be honest, I know we’ll be better in attack this year. It’s defence that worries me especially outwide.

It builds up. The idea is hopefully the user clues up and is deterred from repeating past behaviour that got them banned in the first place.

When you've copped 4 bans for the same thing, clearly it's not sinking in... hopefully 2 months in the future it will for good.

Agree. Thats why it important to pick guys like Ogden to start. Also, if Harper doesnt measure up, CHN can always fill in as a defensive centre.

Maybe we just ban him until kick off round 1???? He then is on probation for a year. One more stuff up. Perma-ban.

He does offer a bit of something different in this place. And no one really takes his outbursts seriously anymore. They just reject his opinion based on his reaction.

Decision already made.

First week in April he can come back and no doubt will let EVERYONE know if things aren't working out.

We don’t have to have a expansive style it can just be a simple style of play that we have so finely well tuned that we can execute it perfectly. Winning the ruck is so important and our play the ball speeds have pretty ordinary over the last few years (I haven’t looked at the stats but it just feels like they are) and this is a big thing to fix. Getting the timing right on plays and getting everyone confident they can pull it off and buying in to it will be the key. Hopefully the work has been done over the off season.
Ruck speed improves when the opposition is not sure what we're doing next. They have to cover a run from dummy half or a deep kick and chase- which leaves gaps in the defence. If we just to try speed up the ruck, they will just slow us down. We rarely get penalties in our favour when it's us being held down long enough to prevent a quick play the ball.

Nobody on this forum has the right to bag a former bulldog prop who helped us win a premiership, NSW prop and Australian prop.

Question or complain about decisions made. Sure.
But to say he's an idiot/clueless and dumb shit like 'derp Pay', it just shows you have no idea and think you are more knowledgeable than a man who has spent his entire career around rugby league

Ive played under pay as ive stated a few times. We didnt know what structure was till deano took over. Eyes up off the cuff footy just means. Say your playing 5/8 going at them on there line. There winger comes up kick in behind him, he stays back go through the hands. Dont just do what u did at practice. Simple shit, where we have been getting it wrong for a few years now. Someone like mbye will never get it. Pretty simple stuff he isnt going to try and invent the wheel or anything. Just teaching the poor buggers the simple skills of rugby league.

With you 100% there's nothing wrong with voicing a difference in opinion, but not shutting others down, the clowns a wanker.

The more energised attacking play has been apparent in the junior trials etc -- lots of ball movement but also a high number of intercepts by opposition teams and if the ball runners are not hitting at pace they get smashed. halves will need to take on a lot more responsibility and initiative throughout games with this style - which is a good thing.

The style of play, structured or unstructured needs to suit the skill set of the players.
Lewis's comment about playing flat and fast would suit our guys.
We don't have an experienced game manager type player like Cronk, Smith, Adam Reynolds etc, so we'll need to rely on hitting the advantage line hard, create a retreating defence and then look for the opportunities which come up from that.
We have some good runners of the footy, particularly on the edges, flat and fast style will suit them.
There'll still be structures and patterns of sets depending on field location and opposition which will be Lewis's job to implement on the field.
The success of the season will hinge on the success of the spine. Can Liccha improve? Can Foran maintain fitness, who plays fullback and how will Lewis cope with being an organising 7.
