when only using 2 paddles (1 each side) it actually doesn't take that long to get use too, I map the paddles to the gadgets (1 on each) and it makes it sooooooo much easier when swapping to either of them

No way man... I love my elite controller. for the paddles on the back, start with only one on each side, then when you are use to them you can add the two others if you wish. You can also have two different setups and switch between them. plus the hair triggers are awesome.
