GAMEDAY Bulldogs vs Penrith - ACCOR STADIUM SYDNEY - 7:50 pm

Not only the D. Improve tonight but also the attack. Against a renowned defensive team, Dogs made many half breaks. Played with more option through the middle, out wide the played much more straighter. This suited Preston & Kikau. Best game seen from Salmon & Tuala easily our most...

    Dogs Attack

The elephant in the room is the Dogs attack. * Scored 15 against the dragons, St George conceded an average 32+ against other teams this year. * scored 14 against raiders, against other teams raiders have conceded 33 points. Coaching strategy is to score early, kick down in the corners &...

GAMEDAY Round 5 - Bulldogs vs Souths - Friday 3rd April - 4:05pm Accor Stadium

The main issue is not whether O'Sullivan or Xerri should have used, but our predictable attack. Can just rely on defense to win games. Our forwards play predominantly 1 out runs, making defending easier. Our attack relies mainly of prerehearsed sweeping movements. Teams know how to defend our...

GAMEDAY Round 5 - Bulldogs vs Souths - Friday 3rd April - 4:05pm Accor Stadium

So far the attack is a one off run from the ruck. Yes can see how much time spent reinventing their attack?. Salmon become the Tolman wasting our 5th tackle.

    Rumour Spinks to debut

Spinks & Baker have been the stand out forwards in reserves this year. Spinks can breaks tackles but also run clever lines. Only slight worry is his defensive. Very similar progression to Harry Hayes before CC moved him to the middle.

GAMEDAY Round 4 Vs Knights | Sat 3pm 28 March | Accor Stadium

Interested to see Baker get some time. He was the best forward in last week's NSW cup. (Out performed Hughes) Had some ball skills, a good offloaded & reasonable defender. Don't know much about him.

    Bronson asks for a release?

I was pleased with the Xerri signing cause at the sharks he was a teenager with speed, evasiveness & potential. Fast forward, i don't see this at the Dogs. Centres need to be able break tackles & set up outside players. However it is not like the Dogs to replace an established player after 1...

Official Semi Final vs Penrith @ Accor Sunday 4pm

Ciraldo needs to drop his pride & accept he can not have all three Salmon, Mann & Hayward at the expense of big boppers. Need an inventive hooker, Hayward will not cut it. Tracy is all heart & effort but is not a game breaker. Most important is the send Jason Taylor packing.

Official Semi Final vs Penrith @ Accor Sunday 4pm

First thing is too get rid of Jason Taylor! His only playbook is the long sweeping backline movements. 2nd half of the season, opposition worked out how to defend dogs attack. No short passing game, no eyes up footy. Panthers today swept fast on outside backs negating any movement.

Official Semi Final vs Penrith @ Accor Sunday 4pm

How many times does Jethro come & gets no one. If he can not cut-down the pass, he needs to stand off & wait. His inexperience is making Alamoti look like A superstar

Official Qualifying Final vs Storm @ AAMI PARK Fri 12th Sep 7:50

Great game dogs, great defense against arguably the best attacking in the NRL. Generally storm could not get in position for attacking kicks, except off Penalties or Dogs error. Bellamy commented that the team just could get into attacking rhythm. Good vibes we can bounce back even without...

Official Qualifying Final vs Storm @ AAMI PARK Fri 12th Sep 7:50

Great effort, we're in the game until the final 3 minutes. 50:50 calls & luck went against the Dogs. The dogs bombed more close chances than the storm.

Why do many insude passes when attacking. Salmon is so slow & predictable in attack

Official RND 27 VS Sharks @ ACCOR - Sat 6th Sept 7:50 PM

Attacking game plan needs to change to win in the semis. Simple one man hit-ups for the first 4 tackles & then easy-to-read structured backline plays will not trouble top 4 teams. Over playing the telegraphed inside pass. Seems like we are playing a mirror image of how Jason Taylor use to play...

Official RND 27 VS Sharks @ ACCOR - Sat 6th Sept 7:50 PM

Needing points & we leave Mann on the bench & give Salmon a full half. Jaso Taylor attacking is structured based only. Opposition defense is reading our plays with comfort. Hayward is a future 5/8 but a good fill in.

Official RND 27 VS Sharks @ ACCOR - Sat 6th Sept 7:50 PM

Except that their reserves (jets) are in a elimination semi, which they would want to win. Also as a backup for suspensions injuries, want your backups match fit.

Official RND 27 VS Sharks @ ACCOR - Sat 6th Sept 7:50 PM

Jason Taylor played a very structured type of game. His coaching style is also very structured, Hit ups towards designated area of the field, synchronised lines of attack, most attacking plays on the 5th-6th tackles, relying more on structured lines on either side of the ruck. Little improvised...

Official RND 26 VS PENRITH @ ACCOR STADIUM - THU 28TH AUGUST 7:50 PM

Need to replace Taylor as attacking coach. Too predictable & structured Salmon slow & predictable. Opposition defence are comfortable when he is on the field. Xerri been average in attack for quiet awhile.

Official RND 25 vs Storm @ AAMI Park Friday 22nd August 8pm

Little moments can impact game as did last night. Main concern * Salmon starting as the link forward for the first 25 minutes. He takes the line on slowly, is predictable, does not trouble the defense. * Critta can be so destructive when he takes the line on at speed. At times he jinxs, stops &...

Official RND 25 vs Storm @ AAMI Park Friday 22nd August 8pm

Great effort, some days the bounce if the ball does not go your way. More meters to attack, twice as many line breaks & offloads. Three disallowed tries, two uncontested bombs by Paps where the bounce did not favour the Dogs. Storm has less chances but iced nearly off of them. Great to see...

Official RND 24 vs Easts @ Allianz Stadium Friday 15th August 8pm

our attack is too reliant on set plays & structured formations. Individual skills & eyes up football, is not taught by Jason Taylor. And why so many inside pass plays. Just a waste of tackle at times. Annoying fart Walker, but he had such a dominant game.

Official RND 23 vs Warriors @ ACCOR Stadium Sat 9th August 7:35pm

Whether Reed or Bailey, there is not significant change in dogs style. However Bailey could justify his spot on the bench for his versatility, not so with Reed. Barring injuries, can't see CC continuing to have full time no9 on the bench

Official Rnd 22 vs Tigers @ Commbank Sun 3rd August 2:00PM

In extreme wet weather, the larger body players are not as effective. I.e. kikau. Generally hard to get top speed & keep your traction. Extreme wet weather should favour teams like the Dogs. Look how storm & raiders were not as effective. However the Dogs are the opposite. WHY?? I believe that...

What does CC sees in Tuala. Misses tackles, does nit chase hard the high kicks, rarely breaks the tackles, gets caught out of position. Send him back to knights to replace Ponga.
