Good take there! All about good management. I think in the past our cap was stretched when we were struggling in the ladder. A team who was coming last and no capable next man up reserves to call on. Basically our first grade side was reserve grade quality with a premium price tag.

Putting Burton at fullback would remind me a little of Greg Brentnall. Might be because both had and have big left boots on them and good runners with ball in hand. Might be worth a look in off-season to see how we use Galvin and fullback might get Burton get better vocally at organising defence.

I agree he did give up on that play and so did a few others too. It was a spectacular try in the end but it should not have eventuated. That play would have been competed and diffused on our right side defence.
