Mathieu Debuchy is expected to undergo a medical at Arsenal this week ahead of his move to the Emirates. Newcastle United could take World Cup star Joel Campbell or defender Carl Jenkinson as part of the deal. (Guardian)

They can have Jenkinson for free.

Exclusive – Sanchez's Arsenal switch 'almost done', reveals Wenger

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has told talkSPORT the club expect to complete the signing of Barcelona forward Alexis Sanchez on Wednesday.

The Chile star has been linked with a number of top clubs across Europe, most notably with the Gunners’ Premier League rivals Liverpool, who wanted the 25-year-old as part of a player-plus-cash deal for Barca-bound Luis Suarez.

Sanchez is keen to leave the Catalan club following their approach for the prolific Uruguayan, and – with Liverpool recently cooling their interest in the attacker – Arsenal have landed their target with a superior offer.

Latest reports have suggested Sanchez will move to north London for €35million [around £28million], signing a four-year contract at the Emirates Stadium.

This latest deal means Arsenal will spend approximately £40million in a matter of days, having already secured the arrival of French international full-back Mathieu Debuchy, who admitted he will move from Newcastle this summer.

Wenger said that the Sanchez signing will be completed by our Thursday.

So we know Debuchy and Sanchez are 2 of the 3 rumoured signings. Guess we have to wait till Friday for the 3rd.

Hopefully Bender/Khedira then we just need a keeper and a back up centre back

Morgan Schneiderlin is the 3rd.

Failing that... Abu Diaby, Joel Campbell, Theo Walcott.... all missed last season.

No way. Joel Campbell has to come to us. If Wenger needs, he can send Sanogo on loan.

Alexis Sanchez on verge of completing £30m move from Barcelona to Arsenal... with Mathieu Debuchy and Loic Remy not far behind in spending spree

Arsene Wenger is confident of concluding a deal for Barcelona forward Alexis Sanchez on Wednesday - and two more players could follow in a £50m spree.

The Chile star has opted for the Gunners ahead of Liverpool and Juventus and his representatives are in London to agree personal terms and conclude the deal.

Sanchez is set to be offered a similar package to top-earner Mesut Ozil, who is paid £140,000 a week. Arsenal will meet Barcelona’s £30m valuation, allowing the Spanish side to complete a £75m deal for Liverpool forward Luis Suarez.

An £11m move for Newcastle defender Mathieu Debuchy is almost complete and an £8m swoop for QPR striker Loic Remy is held up only by his personal terms.

Sportsmail understands Remy, who earns £75,000 a week at Loftus Road, and Arsenal are still some distance apart on terms but Debuchy is on the brink of completing his protracted switch to the Emirates after having a medical on Monday.

He will replace Bacary Sagna, who has joined Manchester City, as the club’s first-choice right back.
